IMHO -another week or two, I'd say.

Though I cant imagine NO trichromes? Gently sqeeze one of your bigger buds with two fingers, see if they are a little sticky? Smells nice? Medicinal like? If not burn it, and start over.

ps I got some doing similar, let go this week cause of the still active buds, though they are frosted good now. Will harvest next week after a lil flush.

Holy high humidity Batman!

Am I right? I bet I'm right, cause I'm good like that.

And wait, wait, wait... that might be a 14wk strain. But if you got high humidity and you wait that long it will probably be mold inside.

It may be high humidity or could it be high heat or a combination of both? Cuz they got so big and then close to the light! They are a little sticky and smelly, the few tri's it got their milky. So wait or chop it and start over?

The leaves look like a humidity issue they get wild like a jungle and low on trichs.

Its up to you if you want to wait or start over. I would just wait and I would also be inspecting the inner part of the plant for any white spiderweb like mold. If you see any of that, bring em down. and do you best to save what isnt moldy.

High heat its often more or a bleaching effect.

I'm gonna agree with the humidity, the leaves have that look to them. Never guage if a plant is ready based on hairs, some genetics have white hairs, its not unheard of by any means. Get a 30x microscope and look at the trichromes, if they're clear its premature, if they're cloudy its mature and if its amber they're over mature. I always wait til about 1/4 of the trichs are amber and 3/4 are cloudy, that way I know its good and mature and amber trichs tend to add to the indica sides of plants. Also if you can lower your humidity do it by all means, and if your temps are exceeding 85-90 you definitely wanna get those down as well. Ideally 45-50% humidity and 75 degree's would be about perfect for most plants, if you have a dehumidifyer use that in your last week or two while flushing to pull the humidity down to 20-30% this will shorten up a bit of your drying time and the plant will try to keep itself moist by pushing some of its water to its leaves and such allowing the flush to push out any built up nutrients and or salts as well.

Edit - It also has a more sativa look to it so it could very well be a 10-12 week flowering plant, alot of sativa's tend to flower between 10-16 weeks when they're of more pure sativa genetics.

Thanks again everyone! I when to Lowe's and bought a $10 dollar temp and humidity gauge and I think the humidity problem is from turning off the fan when I turn off the light at night! The humidity is about 50% at night when I turn the light and fan off then in the morning when I turn the light and fan on it was 85%! Should the fan be on all night? I'm just going to leave it on! Chop it! Feed this bunny muffin to the ducks around the house! All they do is eat grass and bunny muffin it out any way! Thanks again! I swear I read you can turn the fan off if the light is off? Just turned the light on with the fan on all night the humidity was a littler lower at 75%! And a half an hour later it was down to 55%. I probably have a lot of build up humidity and may take a day or two to dry out! Too late to save the weed just going to start over hopefully. If this has been my problem all this time it was worth it! Cuz now I'm know what to do forever. Thank Again!

You really need to invest in a humidistate to turn your vent fan on and off. This is a must. When ever you have a big temperture change you will have humidity issues. If you need help let me know.

What's a vent fan? What I need is a grow room. Its kind of hard to control anything when you can't enclose your grow room! if your bored or want a good chuckle here is my last grow its about the same but a little smaller 3gal bags my current grow is in 7 gal pots and that make them more than 3x in size! last grow was in the 3 gal they only little more than 2x size! does your closet door stay open most of the time?? if so, just pick up a stand-up oscillating fan at lowes for $14.99 and push some serious quiet air right at them.

I just order a super Air King deluxe 9700 window fan. I hear their a lot quieter and then I can run it all the time. The closet doorway has the fan on the floor and cardboard on top of it. this is my last grow at u-tubehttp://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=MrGhettoGrower&search_type=&aq=f

  • 4 months later...

how do I get the humidity down in a room that is not sealed? example being: my filter is in my flower room, and pushed through my lights, that air cools my lights and is exhausted from the room, but since my veg room is attached (separated by a wall) and this is where the air in getting replaced from, how would I keep a constantly low humidity?

would I have to run a dehumidifier all the time since that air is slowly being exhausted?

that is going to take up a lot of power...dont you think?

Did you grow from seed or a known clone? I've had two seed plants that ended up a lot like yours - virtually no trichomes and buds that look like feather dusters...that keep growing and growing and growing. I finally isolated one of the girls under 10 hours of light..and finally after 19 weeks (YES 19!) I hacked her down...and all she was good for was making rope.

Your plants are bolting. This occurs when there is extremely high humidity , particularly at night. The plants are essentially re-veging, or trying to not flower as the result of detrimental conditions.

I experienced this years ago. My a/c would catch up with the temps at night and shut off. With no dehumidifier to compensate, especially considering night time transpiration....my plants looked similar to yours.

Get a dehumidification solution in order stat. A humidistat is a great addition to any dehuey that does not already have one.

I hope this helps.

1. leaf pattern is strange, they appear to be single leafs vs the typical five to seven leaf seen on marijuana plants.

(are you using C02?, C02 promotes foilar growth, not trichrome formation.)

2. The pisils do not have to stop growing, sativas can be constantly creating new pisils. The color change happens during drying and curing, while it can happen a little late in flower. People run indica plants late in to flower, so they see alot of color change on the plant before harvest.

3. Heat can cause the pisils to mature and color change.

4. fans should run all the time, the oscillating fan, and the exhaust fan. I don't run the intake fan, as the exhaust fan is pulling air into the room. It is a good idea to record the highs and lows in temp and humidity to see what happens in your room after lights out.

5. if you have powdery mildew and mites 10 weeks in to flower, you have pretty much a ruined crop. Restart as soon as you can, clean and bomb the room before introducing new plants.
