It's been forty years to the day since Jimi Hendrix was murdered. If you don't know about that, but are a fan of Jimi I hate to break it to you. He died of drowning a long time before the EMTs got there. That's right, Jimi died with his lungs full of red wine laying on the bed. It doesn't take a genius to figure out you can't fill your own lungs with "copius quantities" of wine. There was very little alcohol in his bloodstream indicating he had not been drinking. This is based on information from the doctor who worked on his body at the hospital.

 

One thing that can't be killed is the spirit Jimi left. Personally, there isn't much that speaks to me more.

His manager had him killed to collect a 2 million dollar life insurance policy Jimi was already in the process of dumping Michael Jeffrey as his manager and this slimeball knew he was going to be left high and dry after helped Hendrix become a star .
