Diabetic Recipes

Recommended Posts

Most of the recipes I run across contain sugar, which is off limits due to my diabetes. I saw this sugar free recipe on Medical Marijuana Cannabis Cooking Recipes & Marijuana Cannabis Cook Books & Video's. I haven't tried them yet, but they sound good.

Peanut Butter Protein Bars *Super Potent*

A Recipe for diabetics

Ingredients:

2 TBSP no sugar peanut butter

2 TBSP cannabutter, melted

1/2 tsp liquid artificial sweetener *saccharin, stevia, liquid Spenda*

1/4 cup Splenda or 4 packets Sweet n Low

One scoop vanilla whey protein powder

Melt peanut butter and butter in microwave or double boiler.

Mix in the sweetener thoroughly.

Add protein powder and stir until able to form a ball. Roll up in a ball and kneed for a few seconds. Separate into even four even portions and roll into balls. Place in refrigerator until firm. Makes 4 servings.

The PB Bars are low carb and sugar free but are a little high on the fat count.

i am going to try this i am a diabetic if you come across any other good idea's please do post. Being a diabetic dosent mean NO SUGAR it just means WATCH YOUR INTAKE. Ive been a diabetic for 13 years im Type 1. SO all those fat people with type 2 you should have taken better care of your self!!!!

Most MMJ edibles will be highly fatty due to THC being fat soluble.

but if you are active enough it shouldn't matter just eat less Bread @ dinner time. Hell i suggest eating less bleach breads as it is anyways.

I have to watch my intake of sugar very closely because I control mine strictly through diet and exercise. No bleached bread is definitely right, I try to avoid most 'white' foods. Any carbs I eat are usually fruit or whole grain, no empty calories. I originally started the medical marijuana for pain but it has also seemed to help with my glucose levels. I'll keep looking for diabetic friendly recipes.
