Cooper Made Assumptions On Law

Recommended Posts

Very nice work Mr. Komorn! Enjoyed reading it. Thanks for keeping it real. If you all havent' got a chance to read it . Here it is.

Cooper made assumptions on law

In response to Oakland County Prosecutor Jessica Cooper’s guest opinion about the medical marijuana law, I want to address and clarify some of Cooper’s assumptions to ensure the medical marijuana community’s voice is heard.

The problem with the article is that it makes assumptions. We as the MM community understand what he is referring to when he mentions the Redden/Clark case but the general public will not. The artcle assumes a background knowledge about the situation is already possessed by the people. The fact is the general public is unaware of the current struggles. They know what they happen to catch on tv or in the newspapers. They aren't on this website where all of the problems statewide are brought out in a single forum. The average joe doesn't understand what is going on. I myself see what is on the tv and it is generally a sterilized soundbite about a bust here or there. There is never much mention about controversy, etc. The artcle needs to paint a picture and lay out a roadmap as if the reader just arrived in Michigan after a few years out of state.

I think the public gets it. So far only supportive remarks. The article does what it is intended to do and that is to illustrate that Hang'em High is not enforcing the law, but making it up as she goes. We must refute lies with facts. Considering the volume of lies, we need full time writers to keep up with the Three Stooges Academy of law in Oakland County.

Do they offer a JD program? I was thinking of adding to my ejimication...

Thanks, Pro, and thanks to Mr. Komorn.

The article as well as helping to educate and inform the public also shows those in the anti-MMJ 'legal and enforcement' agencies that we, the MMJ community, understand our rights and that WE KNOW the 'law'.

IMHO Mr. Komorn and others like him are definitely a valued asset in our move forward.

Thanks again.

Was a great article! Way to go Michael!

Also, it's possible that the Oakland Press edited his letter to them. I have written that paper before and they print what they want to...not sure if this happened - but, it is their standard operating procedure.

Anyway, I think we should stay on the offensive. I will begin composing a letter of my own and when I finish it I would like for Blueberry, Michael, and RevThad to take a look at it and make sure it is correct in all facets of our law.

If we unite, nobody can stop us...not even THE THREE STOOGES OF OAKLAND COUNTY.
