Most trimmers i see batter the buds around thus knocking a ton of trichome material off i prefer the hand trimming i know its hard on the hands but i prefer my resin to end up in my lungs not on the growers catch screen .

I agree, even the best trimmers don't leave the buds as nice as human hands.

I have a twisted trimmer got it on ebay 211. Works well enough although, saves huge time. What the people reported on it possibly going too far is true. I watch it and try not to let it go too far. and also trim big buds by hand. Its your call. The trim eventually become hash. Good luck.

I know some guys that groom your product by hand and do an excellent job and are very trustworthy. I won't name them here but everyone knows them

KingDiamond said it all, trimmers beat your meds up and never do as good a job as by hand. So it depends what kind of quality you want. Any quality hand trimmer would do a better job. Dont be lazy, you invested 65-75 days just in your bloom stage already, dont skimp now! Thankfully I have a trimmer who does all mine and does some of the best work I've seen, hence the reason I let them do it and dont even bother myself anymore. I pay for my high quality trimmers though, to the tune of around $50 per 3-4oz plant. Worth every penny when its done and especially that they are 100% trustworthy, worth it for that alone.

Our local grow store rents a trimmer out by the day. You may want to check there first.

Nothing like hand trimming, tho...

I have always thought that machine trimmed bud was sub-par quality, like the Cali outdoor that makes it's way here.

Is this what you are talking about?
