I've done a water cure once. I had spider mites show up days before harvest, way too late to use anything on the plants. My only choices were to scrap the entire harvest and make medibles with it, or try a water cure to smother the little buggers and their eggs. I went the water cure route, and it solved the mite issue perfectly. It did remove 90% of the smell and flavor as expected, but that was fine. My patients were briefed on the entire situation, and once they realized that it had no effect on the medicine (i.e. THC and CBD were unaffected) they were totally satisfied with the end product.

I have never water cured bud, but want to try "washing" my trim for butter and tincture making.

You can actually "wash" your butter. If you are interested in the procedure send me a text, I will let you know how to do it. It is supposed to take all the flavors out of the butter except the butter flavor, so you can use it on toast and it still tastes like butter instead of bud...lol
