I just wanted to let everyone know that there will be scheduled maintenance tonight to do the data migration and switch to the new server. There will probably still be broken stuff on the upgraded site here and there, including some known issues with the calendar and classifieds, but we will be fixing these as we can and will see a significant performance boost from the upgrade.

I will shut the site down at midnight, and if all goes well the upgraded site will be back a few hours later. Wish me luck!

Thank you for explaining many of us use the site during periods of suffering as a distraction and not knowing would add to our frustration . It isn't boredom but when were confined to sitting , and were trying to describe our needs tjat we normally unable to when trying to live independent . Anyone who has suffered more then they can tolerate without hope understands especially if they have gone through the whole health care system already .

People's minds will be lost tomorrow. The last time they tried to upgrade this forum I think patients rallied in Lansing to get them to change it back..lol

Be prepared to explain how to update folk's bookmarks for the "active content."

I can't find the active content tab to follow the latest discussions . Yes I lost avatars also . Being patients allot of us have older equipment running XP that microsoft no longer updates . The good news is in this day and age a 9 year old computer still works !

Left hand side of the screen, there is a list of options to choose from,

By time period

• Content I have not read
• New since my last visit
• Past 24 hours
• Past week
• Past 2 weeks
• Past month
• Past 6 months
• Past year

Also, to find your new content there is a tab for that in the top right corner of the page when you first log in, 'veiw new content" and should take you to you page to veiw the posts. Remember you change it from the right hand as stated above to posts in 24 hrs', past week, since last log in..

Hang in there for those that are just seeing the new setup as am I, we will get used to the new page.

Loads alot faster ehh? btw 1000 post club hello here I am.. lol

well trix welcome! I was off of here more than I was banned, no one had more than me in my beginging here! if I were to been allowed to post, Id be more than double, instead other sites have the misfortune of my posts!
