What Are The User Rating Stars For?

So nobody has any reasoning behind "the stars" huh? Best I can imagine, I have stars in my profile because I met with Medcnman before he stopped as a mod and moved south. That was last year, back just as they stopped "verifying" members for current mmj cards. That must be the main reason for why-the-stars in my case.

I do believe its just a simple additive to the site, It only take 5 clicks to get five stars.. from what I have seen.

I could be wrong, I have 4 stars go click my empty star if it lights up then yeah its just 5 click to be maxed out..

Do you guys like the idea, or user ratings?

I know the +1 rep points didn't go over well with some back in the day.. I've always like the idea of user ratings, especially if your a PT seeking a vetted reputable CG..

Said Pt would see they are looking at a reputable CG due to his standing within the community, there would have to be some alterations made to keep it fair.. but always sounded like a positive way to find a reputable source for medications...

I had previous thoughts, of something along the lines of "Angie's List" where the users did the ratings.. The Cg wouldn't be able to post about how great his services were.. only his Pts..

That maybe a tad iffy, only due to possible conflict with negative comments, and for a newbie trying to show his quality only to be belittled may not sit well, also could possible turn them away from continuing and learning more about how to get the best results possible..

Sorry just rambling, but I have always thought "How could we get the PT's a trusted source for a CG" ?

Word of mouth is usually the best way IMO, but a new PT doesn't have anyone to ask, and they come here seeking that awesome CG, only to read a few months later what a horrible experience they had.. a lot due to not having conversations with their CG's then begin to resent that person for not meeting that Pt's needs..

Anywho, food for thoughT.. How to help find good honest reliable CG's for new inexperienced Pt's..

I would bet if Dispensaries opened back up they would be used cause the new avr PT doesn't know where to find a CG, or one that can be trusted.. just a opinion

I did have 5 stars, now that I go look again... I only have 3 stars... how does that happen?

 

Rating posts caused big issue in the past and I for one do not think it is the best of ideas.

Don't know I'm sure its not a conspiracy or anything..

 

But, this thread is from last year, those stars have been there since before I was a member probably..  it popped to the top thread cause of a Chinese Purse AD. That was hidden, now its a new topic again.

 

I had to ask what they were myself way back when..doesn't bother me much either way..
