Marijuana Bust In Forsyth Township

FORSYTH TOWNSHIP -- The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team and ATF agents worked together on a case in Forsyth Township.
They were alerted that the occupant of a home on Albatross Street possessed an illegal firearm, and was in violation of the Michigan Medical Marijuana Act. A warranted search of the home uncovered a marijuana growing operation, as well as a firearm.
After collecting evidence, the suspect was detained and released.
The case has been handed over to the Marquette County Prosecutor's Office for review.

Authorities conducting a drug raid in Michigan's Upper Peninsula found a 2-year-old girl at the site of a suspected marijuana growing operation.
The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team and federal agents conducted Monday night's raid in Marquette County's Forsyth Township. A person with the girl who was suspected of illegally possessing a gun was detained and later released, pending the authorization of formal charges.
The Marquette County prosecutor's office was expected to handle the case. Several other agencies assisted, including child protective services.

Plus child protective services also being involved heres to hoping he can afford a good lawyer im so sick of CPS sticking their noses in patients and caregivers family's lives most i know are the salt of the earth good honest people who truly do not deserve the wrath of the judicial system destroying their and their kids lives .

So assuming this guy was a cardholder and had a firearm are they assuming this nullifies his protections of the medical marijuana act? yes

You tell me what is so dangerous to a child about a plant, are the things going to grow legs an chase them? Really?
I am just beside myself when i hear about a child being in the middle of a raid!

We knew of a young Mother through acquaintances who committed suicide in 2003 after CPS took her two kids strictly based on accusations made by her ex-boyfriend.
Although no proof of neglect was ever found or proved, her kids were placed in foster care anyway. After a three month investigation a judge revoked her parental rights and four months later she hung herself...
