Co2: Faster Or Faster With More Yield?

I know CO2 supplementation makes growth go faster (from conducting a side-by-side). Back when I ran this did not have a scale so couldn't see if weight of meds--not called meds back then--was actually more. You Tube posts disagree, some saying only faster, some saying faster and heavier. Anybody really know?

i do no it does work great and if you grow without it you should try it

it doesn't cost that much

Picbook, when I ran co2 I noticed bigger thicker buds with about 25-30% increase in total yield.

However I did not notice faster flowering.

That is my results.. using a co2 enrichment system with a 90# tank, gauges and a minute timer. Only enriching when lights on.

Most results vary widely (as did mine) due to temps, humidity, air circulation, lots of things.

My experience and 2¢

IMHO there isn't much that will decrease the time needed to flower out cannabis plants. I've used CO2 in the past and the only benefits that I have derived from the experience is a 10 - 15 % increase in final output. That and the fact that it is a good deterrent to a few of the pests that we see (mainly the dreaded BORG (spider mites)). Wish there were useful methods that could be used to shorten the natural cycle of growth, but, I don't know of any...

Hey due to a mix-up the suppler brought Jack Herer.  The web shows various lengths of flower days, a range from 50 to 77 days. Anything that takes more than 60 days has to be chopped early. (My slots are based on 60 days and your out), replaced with new starts contracted for every 60 days.  So i have to harvest early. Now then.  to pick the best day within those 60 days, I want to smoke samples starting at 45 days.  Whats the best way to dry the bud so i get 'true flavor'.'  every web source says 'don't microwave.'  so, do i turn to a dehydrator, or an oven, for a huge move-a-car-blast from a turbo fan, or will every 'fast dry technique' make for harsh garbage so i should simply chop on day 60, w/o at taklng samples?

Just make sure you stay within 1000-1500 ppm for optimal effect. If you go too high (<1900 ppm), it will start having a negative effect on growth. The plant will actually exert a lot of energy trying to expel CO2 from itself when levels get that high. See this graph which was probably done on different types of plants, but they all basically react the same (also notice that the current atmosphere is at 400 ppm CO2 rather than 300 ppm, so the study this was taken from was likely made in the 1950s).
