The group pushing the referendum in some places (mistakenly) stated August 7, 2012(which was primary day). They have not corrected their mis-statement of the date. Hope they are more together on other matters.

Due to The City of Detroit fighting the placement of the ballot question on the ballot through the courts, it was delayed until the November 6th date because of the timing of the final rulings being too late to be placed on the August 7th ballot. It will pass by an even larger margin on November 6th.
