After Harvest

Recommended Posts

you want to get in to a process of harvesting that can keep parts of the plant weight in stages - some can be trimmed on stem, and left to hang, some can be trimmed off the stem, placed on drying racks, some can be in the process of burping in jars.

you also process out the small buds that make up weight into refined medical use products- hash - from dry ice, ice water, butane extraction. you can make cooking oils, tinctures, and capsules. The more refined you get - down to the trichomes it cuts down on the weight you possess.

Medicine can store for a while after being properly dried, some people have placed their medicine in hiding - underground, bank safety deposit boxes - because we hope that the law can be clarified - "any amount reasonable for the patient to treat their illness".

you can also make your spouse, your caregiver - then she/he can hold medicine for you - another 2.5 ounces.

(note: "sell it - give it away" - a patient can transfer medicine to another, without compensation. Only a CG can recieve compensation and not have it considered a sale under the CSA)

The law states no more than 2.5 ounces of useable product per qualifying patient. It doesn't matter if it's on your person, or at home locked in a safe. Just because they allow 12 plants does not mean you need to grow 12. You need to plan out your harvest to maintain no more than 2.5 ounces at any time. It sucks, but that's the way the law is written. The MMM Act is right here on this website under the "Patients" heading on the main page. I cannot advise you on what to do with your overages but I'm sure some ideas will be popping up. Good luck!

Maybe keep them all on the stalk until needed with the rootball wrapped in foil and count it as a plant instead of weight?

It would need to be further processing to see how much weight was actually there after all the seeds, stalks and roots were cut off.

(not to be misconstrued as legal advice as I am not an attorney)

if you are a pt and have possesions of your plants you are only allowed 2.5 oz and 12 plants (preferably in diff stages) I have a c.g, I am a pt/cg, my pt lives with me, so I can have her 12 plants, she can have 2.5 oz for her, I can have 2,5 for her and 2.5 for me, thats almost 1/2 lb

first you should be a pt and grow your own, once you get that down you can be some ones c.g, and you can also get your self a c.g if you dont need all of the plants for your pt's, I dont need my grow rights, I have my pts, and if im ever in between harvest or have issues, I can count on my c.g to take care of me!

Peace

Jim

Five years ago, if someone told you you could grow 12 plants and possess 2.5 oz., how far down the list of reactions would "that sucks" be?

Yay, I knew you all had good things to contribute. This is the kind of information I need.

Now All I need is a good game plan for my indoor grow. MInd you I am still working on getting a few things together but here is what I am thinging.

Keep 2 mothers in veg state in a small tent 5'x5'x7'. With a 400w hid mh light. From them I take 3 clones and veg them for 4 weeks.

Then move them into flower under 600w hid hps in a 6'x6'x6' tent. and clone 3 more for vegging until harvest of 1st set. Dirt is my medium for growing in.

Constructive comments welcome.

Does anyone know how much that I can have after my harvest of my 12 plants? I understand the 2.5 on my parson but what do I do with the rest? What is Michigan law on this? I can't find anything written.

You could always keep the necessary amount you use a month, 2.5 oz.

Since your seeking a avenue to relieve yourself of your excess harvest, there are many Cg's and Pt's that would appriciate a donation of meds to make RSO for Cancer Pt's or a few low income Pt's that cannot afford their meds that day/month.. you could possibly even learn the process yourself while you figure out the perpetual grow process so that you don't end up with overages. Please be safe and careful with your possible transactions of overages.. best luck to you.

This is an edgy area. Plenty of good info on both sides of what to do with Overages.

impo, the Act as a Pt and CG has the right to ACQUIRE from ANY Reasonable source...... the only thing about money that is mentioned at all, is in the definition of a CG, where it says, a CG can accept a donation, and that donation does not constitute a "Sale" of Marihuana".

So even there, it really doesnt mention money, but not being a sale if money is passed between a CG and a PT. other than that, the Act is Totally Devoid of ANY monetary mention, with exception to to the penalty area, where it dictate fines for donations to someone NOT part of the MMM Act. IE.. NON Dr Recommended Pt.

I clone from the plant I kept in the clone/veg closet, and I move the plant in to flower - this helps keeps the clones small, and shortens the veg time before flower.

Play with various pots (check out Plant Warrior Pots with air dome) and pot sizes.

Please let me clarify, as I mean it "sucks" that we have to worry about any of this kind of crap to start with. I forgot this is the internet and you have to be very clear about everything you post or accept the backlash. My apologies.

Hey man for 3 mothers a 2x4x5 tent with a 200 watt hooded fluorescent light works great. Edited by Chemdawggy Dawg
