So the old chiller is a cobbled-together rigging of a refrigerator with 100' additional aluminum circled tubing sitting in the box's inside to promote water cooling. Ambient temp in the box is set by the original dial thermostat. That thermostat letting temps drift, and the box sweating and rusting is why the rig is going to be replaced. I hope that someone knows of a 1/2 horse chilller/heater that doubles as a heater so you can set the temp, and whether reservoir heating or cooling is needed, automatically that function will kick in to provide a stable temp. I imagine they probably would run interchangeably to keep the temp on the set point.
