Need Help With Cloneing

Recommended Posts

well to start off im having no luck with cloning in rapid rooters or rock-wool and was thinking about buying a cloning machine i have 2 that i have been looking at let me know what yall think please. also is using a cloner machine easier than using a dome with rock-wool or rapid rooters? also im using clonex gel i ph my water to 6.4 for rapid rooters and add a light nute mix and let them soak for about 10-15mins then squeeze a little water out of them and put them in the dome and mist it twice a day. here are the 2 cloners let me know what you think and what the difference is please. also im just using a little cfl light but it worked in the past for clones also my basement is around 64f

">http://fmtphz.jpgYes they are much better,  I use  purified water from the grocery store in mine  cap full of peroxide cap full of clone x rooting solution per 1.5 gallons of water, scrape side of clone stem  dip clones in clone x  rooting jel  mist clones first day 100% success  I have the turbo kloner 24 site ,, the buckets work good also, much cheaper  , do not let the water get to warm in the summer lower the cloner onto the floor and a fan to keep cool

I have almost a 100% success rate the low-tech way... simple plastic cloner,  Rapid Rooters, Clonex rooting jell, and Clonex solution to water them with. I also just use a 100 watt twisty bulb for lighting. I don't even spray them. I started with rockwool, but didn't have any luck at all. I was amazed at how much better it worked with Rapid Rooters.

64 degrees might be a tad cold though. Whichever way you go, you might want to consider a heater of some sort for the clones.

We get roots in about 10-14 days as a general rule ,usually around 90% success ( we are aggressive ,will clone anything, even had cuts stored in water in veggie crisper for a few weeks , and they took ). RO water w/clonex PH 5.6 to 5.8 . Change water every 2-3 days. Homemade cloner in a rubbermaid tote, sprayer on timer one minute on/four  minutes off.

I want to know others time frame ? Wondering if we could tweak speed factor?Thoughts please....

I clone both ways, just depends on space at the time, but as far as simplicity the rapid rooters and other cubes are easy and quick, I think you ran into issues trying to hard. The cubes have everything they need, take good cuttings with a clean blade and lightly scrape the end. Put the dome on and leave them alone unless dry. I have completely forgotten them for a week at times and they still take. K.i.s.s
