Grow Facillities

as a caregiver I am wondering how exactly the law looks at a grow facility? as in what constitutes a grow room? does it just have to be a "locked facility"? or is there more to it? im asking because I would like and prefer to have my grow room on a piece of property I own that isn't my living residence. is this at all possible according to the law? from what I have seen there is nothing stating you must live with your grow room. but its an ever changing environment! reason for not wafting it in my home is the smell and safety issues it presents for my family. if someone is going to break in and take my equipment and medicine I don't want my family to be at risk! even the best security can be breached by a desperate enough criminal. thanks to everyone here and for any advice, legal or otherwise, on this topic!

Sure, your grow doesn't have to be at the address listed on your mmj card, only you can have access to the grow room/shed/facility/garage.

so I do not have to necessarily live at the location of the grow room? does it have to be occupied at all or can it be a secured pole barn on some property? thank you for your time and help much appreciated

Yea that should be legal, make sure your wiring can handle it, get some cameras, deer cams maybe, some people don't care to do it that way because it takes alot of time to tend to the plants that you could end up drawing more attention to yourself than its worth, but yea that's legal in sure.
