Cbd Receptors Turned Off ?

I wonder if the cbd receptors in opiate users become (more) active than say the ones in the anti cannabis movement ? They (opiate users)often seek relief from medical marijuana  after the exposure as opposed to before. Maybe experiencing disease or pain also activates these receptors?

I've seen people who were adamantly opposed to marijuana, its effects and use among humans. To the point of demonizing the plant. Until that day, when they could no longer manage their own dis-ease, and become supporters of medical marijuana.  I suspect that their receptors have been turned off or dull for a long time, restricting their intake of cbd's from other sources too.

Sick people I know instantly became better people full of life shortly after gaining access to their first samples of medical marijuana.

Some people though cannot tolerate the smell, taste, or effects, maybe because they're cbd receptors are not yet active?

I have been on mj for a long long time, after my disability and was prescribed loratabs 10/500 after I would take my recomended dose, If I smoked mj with any one, it seemed I got higher than everyone else in the circle, it always seemed that way untill I got off pain pills, so what im saying is I beleive I got a better effect off of mj than any one with me did and they were not on pain killers, im talking even nasty brick weed got me feeling good, while others felt nothiing, I was in a better place, I cant explain it better than that!

Peace

I have seen this too. You have to be very careful with folks using opiates. Some can't take very much cannabis. You have to carefully substitute it in.

THC potentiates opiates.  There are several recent studies that confirm that a little cannabis taken concurrently with opiates is far more effective than taking much larger doses of the opiate alone.  Some researchers are even predicting a future where pain pills will include a combination of various marijuana extracts and hydrocodone, for instance.  This will allow patients to use much less of the opiate, thereby reducing issues of addiction and tolerance.
