Lemon Skunk "key Lime"?

Is there such a version.  I've had lemon skunk smell kinda like lemon pledge but definitely lemony.  This one smells and tastes like key limes.  Citrusy but sweeter and greener if that makes any sense.  There's definitely more indica influence to this one than the more lemony version.  It still has the brittle leaves and the low N requirement but the colas are more spear shaped and have thinner and fewer hairs.  I'm pretty happy with it though I don't think it'll be great for pain. It seems just as resinous as the last which was very very resinous. I'll have to make some edibles and see but it seemed to make me more aware of my lower back pain.  Seemed to do the job for munchies like it was supposed to though.  Maybe the jitters were more that I haven't taken a xanax in 3 days.  The old one could induce panic attacks but it could also be that I'm in a different situation and not as prone to anxiety.  It'll be fun to see how this one differs although I never made edibles with the original LS I had.

I have white pine essential oil and the main constituents are alpha and beta-pinene. Also a juniper berry high in alpha-pinene and myrcene. Astringent would be the only word I could use to describe similarities between the two. I figured the lemon would be high in limonene, but it wasn't at all. I also thought I had identified a smell from the amnesia that was reminiscent of blue dream (which is high in linalool) so I thought that might have linalool in it, but it was sky high in limonene. It's gonna take some considerable time before all of the subtleties are ironed out. Some experiments with isolated terpenes to recreate aromas might help to speed that process along.

Wow, great info!! and really interesting.  My first thoughts when I started learning about terpines was that the different flavors were just different levels of them mixed to make certain smells and tastes.  Kinda like colors.  You have your bases and all colors are made up of some combination of levels of those bases.  This puts a whole new level to what's going on.  Something for me to ponder while waiting for it to warm up while stuck inside.  Thanks for the info!  Next week or the following I'll be taking my key lime in to be tested.  Lemon75Wappa which was a lemon sk bx hit with female pollen from Wappa to make fem seeds will be the week after that.  The querkle express first week of april.  This lemon75wappa is a diff fem seed than the next one coming down(which I have a mother of) so I'm just testing to be able to compare.  It'll be interesting if they test similar levels of terpines/cannabinoids and have different hi's and tastes and smells.  I have about 20 l75w seeds left so i could run and test a whole line to see the range and differences.

I was planning on going to a dispensary in A2 at $30 a pop.  I'm near Flint and it's an hour drive.  Is there a facility I could go to closer by and drop to the tester?  I think Iron labs was near Traverse(probably not, I'm probably equating the distance and it's not the place).  I think I saw another lab about and hour away and figured I might as well go somewhere I can shop if it's the same distance.

Actually I have a bunch(100+) of the lemon sk bx which I could test against the key lime and since they were selfed you may be able to gain info comparing the lemon bx selfed seeds as to the lemon bx hit with the wappa.  You'd expect more diversity in the crossed seeds but it's be interested to see the diversity over the selfed seeds to compare also.

Wow, when can I get back into a university and get my masters and PhD in this.  To have labs at my disposal, my god one can dream!!!!  With all the years I've been doing this to treat myself and asking myself questions, I have hundreds if not thousands of experiments already in my head.  Esp since I saved a small portion of my genetics from over 20 years ago.  To finally see what was in something from back in the day, wow, what an awesome morning. I think I may have found that one thing again, my passion!  I've been in this"I never persued anything fully to have a skill later on in life for an actual career" thing lately.  My last job breeding animals went with the economy.  Going your whole life worrying about taking(degree/good job) action for fear you'll loose your student loans and never get a job if you fail a drug test kinda hits ya.  Starting out here with a card has kinda made me realize that I do have something that I'm really good at and really, really passionate about.  It's just been beaten down over the years and became more of a stigma than an opportunity.  If things keep changing I may actually have a career for my later stage in life that isn't back breaking and very rewarding.  One can hope.  I'd so love to get into a greenhouse/lab.  My life might become fulfilled enough that my anxiety and stomach problems go away.  Wow, cured by MJ but not actually by ingestion:)

I know what you mean about the passion. I feel the similarly. I felt I had taken growing about as far as I could. There are always ways to continue to increase efficiency, but I'm not passionate about that at all. I was skeptical about some of the medicinal value and bold claims that arose from Rick Simpson. Three things led to this interest. I met a guy who has cancer and had gone through a few cannabinoid treatments, and believed that to be the only reason he's still alive. At the time I was investigating the potential medicinal value of wild fungi (like chaga). Also at the same time I was getting my first samples tested for THC/CBD/CBN to try and learn how they played into the effects.

I had always read and assumed that there was no research on cannabis, but I was utilizing Google Scholar to learn about some of the compounds in fungi. Then I noticed on a testing facilities website some peer reviewed literature on cannabinoids and terpenes (like Taming THC). That led to me starting to search for more research which came along with the realization that there's not only a ton of data, but it could potentially be used to benefit current treatments. I tried at first to just learn about the pharmacology, but they kept referring to CB1 and CB2, so I had to learn more about them to understand the pharmacology, then I realized that you can't do that without learning more about the ECS.. The way that CB1 was referred in some of the first papers I read made me think that it was like a single receptor/switch in the brain. That was not more than a year ago. If I can wrap my head around this even in the slightest way, anyone can. I'm just waiting for someone with the proper background to come in and school me.

That got a bit sidetracked. Yea, my passion and pride in this field has certainly been renewed through this line of research. Layman have a seemingly unique opportunity to be a part of something that brings this field into the next level on all fronts. Not to mention the healing potential and the rewarding feeling of being able to contribute something of value to society at large. I once again feel a great sense of pride in my work, and that seemed to be slipping for a while.
