Michigan Supreme Court Refuses To Review Cop’S Use Of Fake Marihuana Card To Trick Legitimate Caregiver

And again, would the proffered pt/cg agreement that requires a patient to attest, with documentation, that they are compliant with the requirement for a bona fide certification, signed and notarized between the two, have prevented this? Why would anyone not want the extra protection? It costs nothing but ink and paper. Banks offer free notary services to their customers. A quick meeting there and a police officer will have clearly committed fraud if s/he is not a patient.

How do you mean?

the MSC is waiting for the new judge to rule on the motions.

since the previous identical motions to dismiss were denied by a judge who is no longer on the case.

so the identical motions have been refiled with the new judge, and msc says they will hear an appeal after the judge decides those...

basically, judge1 denied the motions and they spent 2 years appealing that.

in that time, judge1 retired.

judge2 was appointed and the msc says you can refile your motions with the new judge.

"ST. JOSEPH, MICHIGAN- Michigan’s medical marijuana community showed strong support for a defendant in the tiny west Michigan town of St. Joseph by bringing 60 people to the Berrien County Courthouse on April 25."

Not surprisingly this got no coverage in that quaint little town by the local media.

There is only one way to get these tyrannical laws changed.  We need to make it increasingly uncomfortable for our elected elite to stay in office. So, a show of support like this by our fellow citizens is a very good start. One of the best ways to expose those elites as the tyrants they are is to force them to act like tyrants. And that is exactly what happened in St Joseph. Congrats to those who participated in support of this poor fellow being first entrapped and then persecuted.

to my understanding they convicted him on the McQueen coa opinion all sales are illegal... so the Sct sent it back to berrien county to deny a sect 8 hearing and start the whole process of using a SICK person to make laws because the legislators are pussies. so basically they bought themselves 3 or 4 more years of fake cards....

I agree but how does someone even know when and where a case is to be ahead of time so as to get the word out in enough time and at what time i use to go all the time i guess i was in some kind of loop

How to Get Editors to Publish Your Press Releases

Writing a press release is the easy part - getting it published is an entirely different story. Editors of newspapers and other publications receive thousands of press releases every week, which means at least a few hundred are going to get dumped in the trash, so your press release must stand out if you want to have a hope of getting it published. If you write a press release that (1) Doesn't qualify as a press release; (2) Isn't important enough for the publication; or (3) Is poorly written, is will probably end up in the trash receptacle. Here are a few tips on how to get editors to publish your press releases
Your Press Release is Not an Advertisement
The purpose of a press release is to convey a news-worthy event, and not to advertise your business or organization. In fact, if your press release has too much advertising copy, it won't even be considered for publication. The trick to writing a press release that gets the editor's attention is to put a new spin on it. For example, if you want your customers to know about a brand new product, describe how that product will change the way Americans do things. And don't try to trick the editor by trying to make advertising copy sound news-worthy; they'll catch it, and they'll never read another press release you write again.

Plan Ahead for Your Press Release
Many people make the mistake of assuming that if they submit a press release two days before it needs to be published, the editors will jump right on it in order to make sure that it's released on time. Yeah, right. Instead, your press release will be discarded like yesterday's trash. Editors are under enough pressure without having to deal with late submissions of press releases, and they aren't going to further complicate their day by accomodating you. Make sure that time-sensetive press releases are submitted at least a week in advance.

Add a Local Angle to a National Press Release
If you are submitting a press release to a local publication, and the substance of the press release is of national interest, localize it. Editors like to publish press releases that are tailored to the community they service, so give your press release a fighting chance by addressing local issues. For example, let's say that your press release is about your company's contribution to National Black History Month. If you were writing the press release for the Houston Chronicle, you might discuss the Black History activities going on in the city of Houston.

Editors Cater to the Readers
Even though editors can sometimes seem like inhuman automatons from another planet, they are actually concerned more about the reader than anything (or anyone) else. If your press release would not be of interest to their readership, they aren't going to publish it, so take the time to research the publication and find out about their key demographics. For example, if the publication is geared specifically toward middle-class families, your press release shouldn't be directed at an audience of high-powered executives.

Don't Bring Up Your Advertising Expenditures
Many people mistakenly believe that if they pay for advertising space in a publication, their press releases will have a higher priority. Think again. The editors who deal with press releases are not affiliated with the advertising department and they probably won't even know that you've purchased advertising space. So unless you're or Coca-Cola, you shouldn't remind the editor that you've bought advertising. They don't care.

"precautions" ? do you mean like making sure to not succumb to greed, sell to patients who are not one of your five registrants?

A patient card is not enough documentation to legally sell cannabis to a patient. They must be one of your five. When someone decides to go outside of that rule, even with a fake card in play, shame on them.  we need to focus on individual behavior and follow the rules. If the cop knew nobody would sell to him until he was registered to a cg, and approved, his fake card would be a moot point.

Thanks again

someones  only as good as taking as much precautions they can levying a door open doesn't seam to justify taking people's stuff and keeping it even after the judge has dismissed a case

what date did it become obviously illegal to supply a patient with meds?

is section 8 larger or smaller than sect 4?

Has the Mi supreme court given the people an exact opinion of these laws including sect 8 to fallow?

How may more types of "transfers" do they need to review?

HELLO PEOPLE Michigan is doing worse than CA at this. Cali is 18 years in their program and still making people felons to build their laws this is wrong.

I suggest any law writers making bills for new states do a better job! I also suggest Lansing figure this out quik!

The next wave coming is the law suit wave and really the only way to make a change. A couple big time law suits is what it will take. But not until they have squeezed the patients as far as humanly possible for cash.

i suggested to MPP once that when they make a mmj law they change the state scheduling from sched 1 to something else ...

they seemed oblivious and told me they were working on federal scheduling. eventually i think i got through to them. but it cant hurt for you to contact them as well and make it clear they need to change the state schedule of marijuana to something else when they do a ballot initiative.
