Lowell Police Seize 20 Marijuana Plants From Medical Cardholder

Recommended Posts

LOWELL, MI -- Police on Monday seized 20 marijuana plants from a medical cardholder whom they allege was not in compliance with the state's medical marijuana law.

Officers executed a search warrant at a home in the 700 block of East Main Street in Lowell about 11 a.m. March 31. Police seized the plants, an irrigation system and a

lighting system, according to a release.

Three adults at the home were cooperative with investigators, police said. Police allege a 31-year-old man, a medical cardholder, violated the medical marijuana law.

Patients are allowed to grow up to 12 marijuana plants in an enclosed, locked facility.

A report will be forwarded to the Kent County Prosecutor's Office. Police could not be reached Monday evening for further information.
