glad it worked out. yeah the VA put out that memo a year or two ago saying that vets in MMJ states with cards are not to be denied things.

everyone said 'i guess the vets in non mmj states are screwed' but it was a step forward, especially for a federal agency anyhow.

you're right.. what was i thinking?..lol..541 posts in 5 years  ..531 of those posts aren't worth saving...and the other ten are questionable at best.,,lol,.i would like to point out that, after my on line search i found hundreds of posts from all around the country on how this was screwing up the lifes of Vets.....these guys are getting hammered hard for failing this "pain contract" ....and there are a lot of states, with a lot of Vets .where its still illegal to use MMJ...and the Vets that get caught using MMJ lose the Controled Med's they've been using for pain relief...anyway ,,,i'm just saying that we should do all we can to bring the" light" to more States and to help people understand that MMJ is a true medicine and the people have the right to use it without being deemed a drug addict....i love my card and Voters that gave it to me...bp

I wish I'd seen this earlier. The Saginaw VA made a public statement in the press in 2009 to that effect in response to our query. We worked with reporters from the Saginaw News.

wow , in 2009? thats impressive.

its hard for me to give advice like this, because i'm not part of the system, so i dont know if it will work or not.

and i hate giving advice that may hurt the person asking. maybe you could write a small tutorial or guide about the VA and mmj laws / policies? :)

The statement appeared in the press and is no doubt archived, and to find it would be a pretty tall order at this point. I have an awful lot on my plate, and will try to get to it as time permits.

Its a good thing that the VA is OK with Vets using Cannabis as long as you have a card but they test me all the time and have never ask to see a card

i question this point...i don't think the VA is Med friendly..are you sure of this bob?..,i have to sign this contract by the 1st of June and i supect they'll ask me to drop a urine test while i'm there....i wouldn't want to sign the contract show my card and find myself in a drug abuse program for 90 days or have my perscriptions blocked because i failed the test..,,,until i can line up a mmj friendly doctor i don't want to go with out my mmj meds, they're the only thing keeping me sane and i'd be in withdraws and a lot of pain with out my vicodin,,...if anyone knows a mmj friendly Dr. please PM me asap so i can stop worrying about this,.. .thanks. ..bp

i'am gland you found out the VA is OK with cannabis
