The media has just got to dumb science reporting down because, you know, dumbassness.

 

Folks here are too often guilty of the same, refusing to acknowledge reason in favor of speculation, hype, fallacy, lies, and insults. It is really nothing new. Because naivete and limited ability to think things through to the nth degree on the part of least common denominator in the population can be counted on, we have to expect that fools will continue to both incite and parrot simple, stupid, and inaccurate blather. It is the most convenient way to reach out to and connect with them. If  anything should be taken as a lesson from this, I think it is the necessity to think with something beyond our gut, using instead mental discipline and rational integrity to speak truth, which I admire as the greatest good. Fat chance that.

Prohibition just made crime. And regular people still drank and even made their own. If anything should be stopped,it should be booze. Has no value other than to get you drunk then drive and kill innocent people.
