Round Rock, Texas officials confiscated 1.5 pounds of brownies and Lavoro, who would have been charged with a misdemeanor had he used solid weed instead of hash oil, could serve anywhere from 5 years to life in prison.

ouch...

they have been scared stiff with lies about hash.

too bad.

eating an extract in a prepared food mix would be arguably healthier than smoking the same amount of flowers to equal the same effects.

the truth shall set them free.

mandatory minimum sentences are BS and need to end now.

Just evil, just straight up wickedness.

I agree with his father, the punishment should fit the crime. No criminal record, 19 years old, first offense. As far as I am concerned this is unAmerican and treason. Especially since that is the same county and court system that withheld evidence that sent an innocent man to prison for 25 years.

Deliberately sending kids to prison for a minimum of 5 years for a petty crime, will a criminal make. That is a crime in itself.

Sadly this is very American. 5% of the world's population and 25% of the world's prisoners.

"Land of the Free" is facetious nowadays.

I recently heard an interview with a European hockey player in which he was asked what he missed about Europe.

His reply was "the freedom".

We should petition to have that phrase stricken from our national anthem. It's clearly a lie and doesn't fit anymore. What would take it's place the land of plutocracy? Land of the wrongfully imprisoned? Land of the subjects?

We have a flagpole at the house we bought. I may have to move my Gadsden Flag here.
