I Slow Down Standard Flower By Extending Night As Part Of A

Recommended Posts

retard the ounces-on-hand management strategy.  I have extended standard flowers by 3 weeks--not all at once, but randomly, over the course of flower.  It seems that extending night wouldn't work in a similar way for auto flowers...it would simply result in smaller, less well developed plants that finish-on-time anyway?  So is there any way (short of cutting them down) to slow down an auto flower on its march to maturity?  (I'm talking flash babylon from world seeds.)

thanx, norby, i'm gonna follow your experience.  i'll keep the the flash babylons that are making female pollen, the ones i spray with cs every day, in sunlight only.  the other fbs will get 24-hour-light; they will get the pollen painted on them.  i'm hoping that the pollen receivers will lag in maturity so the pollen gets to take effect and form seeds by maturity.

I'm not sure about that strain specifically.  A lot of autos are recommended at no more than 21 hrs I think?  I can't remember which seed producer I read that from.  A few are rated to finish well at a full 24 but a lot get spindly I think.  I've only done 24 on them in veg for 10 days or so from seed till they start flowering or showing sex.
