When My Little Sister Visits..

So my little sister visits me from time to time, but is never off of her cell phone. I know that she's attached to the darn thing,but the least that she could do when she visits is not have the thing on, that's the point of a visit no?

 

Regardless, after the many visits I'd received, only to be "...oh, what did you say?"-'d, I decided to construct a Jammer. Works for about 15-20ft or so, when I flip the little switch it hits Cell and Wifi. No in, or outward texting or calling or applications. Some simple online tuts and blamo- what looks like a lightswitch with antennas is secretly a "You're here to talk to me, not sit on your phone" box.

 

She leaves her phone in her car now, and dinner is of the peaceful uninterrupted nature.

that's abominable!  the thing you have made is commercial and there is a market for it.  check into competing devices on the makrket, and if they are not avail cheaply, go on Shark Tank and pitch to the big hitters.

I'm sure there is a market for it, but I for one would be unwilling to replicate such gizmo's for the mass populace. There are a lot of people out there who would use such a simple device for things I cannot even bring myself to think of. I recognize that the applications of such a device are many, but I wouldn't want it to fall into the hands of a person who could use it for terrible, terrible things. I know it can be done now however though is more so the point, cheaply and effectively, and that is enough for me. If I can use it to keep her off of her phone while she is here, someone following her in town could do the same thing, and I don't really like that scenario.

 

The internet is a vast world of dangerous information, because what you can't buy locally, or even in your own country, it can teach you to produce easily with step by step instructions.

man I wish I had one of them just for the same thing as you, we get visits but they are constantly on their phones, I shut my daughters hot spot off so she dont use her data all up in one day, when she visits her friends house who has no wi-fi, and as far as my kids phones ive shut the texting off during school hrs (which is out tommorow) I can control every phone on my acct 4 of them including my own, I find nothing more frustrating than to see a few teenagers sitting around in the same house and texting, im thru with it, and the games they can play online has turned my son into a recluse instead of the active teen he always was, I bought them and I shall take them or limit them, I dont care who hates or loves me, I am so sick of cell phones I cant even tell you, when I go camping I first look for a place that has no reception on our cell phones, I didnt have them with my 1st wife and kid, and I dont need them now! when I camp I do not want to be bothered with a phone!  I had a beeper and a bag phone, it was for business and only business, and it sure cost a whole lot per minute back than, and there was no internet!

 

Phaq cell phones, smart phones, etc, ive had it!

you know of course of the evils of marijuana---it kills the person who spokes 400 tons in a minute--a fact, wanna try it?  

fact is, i can't think of many things that are all good regardless of how they are used; you can drink  wash or drown your sister!

I would just go to the mall and point it at every teenager texting.........just to screw with em. Or the person in the restaurant that has to talk 15 times louder while she is on her phone........SHADDAP! Wow so many different uses......................Maybe they can make one that tazes at the same time.

It isn't a directed jam, it's an area of effect. In this particular case, its' max point is about 20ft in a circle from the box as the center point. Think like a bubble.

For cash or weed you can get them in east detroit (and uzis and aks) but why would you?  The houses are crap but the weaponry top-krotch, and if you listen to the police scanner here at night you hear the weaponry confiscations....scary.  

When you've got your card and your 12 plants why take a domestic to the level of 5 years mandatory federal time?

The worst part about it, is that it was REALLY easy to make just by following some step by steps on a website. And by really easy, I mean...if you can read a couple pages, and follow step by step instructions, you can do it. Whenever you need to know how to build a gizmo, go to google and type in :How to make/build a..."

 

It's one of those technologies that I as a person, regardless of what money was in it, could not bring myself to replicate for many. I'm aware that there is good and bad with literally everything, but with this particular device I feel as if there is more bad that could be done. The hand drawn there being: I, as an individual, would feel guilty and responsible for what people did using the technology I had provided them. And while I'm all about an armed, polite society, this is a different beast. Technological warfare is going to be a killer when they kick it into gear.

Pic,lol. I haven't even held a tazer. We hear guns at night here too,but it's guys coon hunting with dogs and shotguns. We live by a big Gun Club. On Thursday nights the cops are there. That's the only time we hear automatics. And dang they use a lot of ammo,they must have "pent-up anxiety."

I find brain tumors, and things that cause them, sobering. It's hard to laugh about it since I've lost people close to me like that. I'm glad you can see the humor in it, I have trouble with that now.
