When are they going to learn you can't change human nature thru laws and killing?  So there is a large percent of the population making enough money and functioning in society and they want drugs.  The incarceration and babysitting costs more than the drugs.  Why not integrate the people you are at war with into society and save tons of money and stop all the killing?  Seems pretty simple to me.  They are already doing the drugs with all the hurdles put in the way.  Why not focus all that energy on making society better?

A lifetime of propaganda is very tough to overturn - impossible for some.  Many cannabis obstructionists truly believe that if the cannabis Pandora is let out, society will run headlong toward Hell.  They are, in their own minds, focusing their energy on making society better by fighting for cannabis prohibition.

I'm talking every drug.  They should all be legal, it's a loosing battle and an expensive one.  Why should the world follow us in jailing the % of their population that we do.  They are doing it to get drugs here, to us.  I'm talking about stopping the "fight" against human nature and treating it like the health problem it is.  Right now we have merc and whatever other pharm companies as legalized drug dealers.  What do they give of their profits to combat the war on their own drugs?  What do they pay for addicting the amount of society it does?  And they go after people growing their own drugs?  Fuxed up with a capital F.  Why can they do it and no one can for themselves? It seems like they are a lot if not most of the problem.  They can do what they want and if people die, go to jail or get hooked because of them(and their reports, um er propaganda) they still keep rollin' in the profits.

To anti-drug people, their revulsion towards drugs is like religion. There is no basis in fact for their beliefs, yet they cannot be swayed by any amount of reason. They just KNOW it isn't right!

 

On the bright side though, it looks like some attitudes are being changed as the realization that we have been hoodwinked is settling in.

there must be a flaw in our analogy of the profits made either way.  the most profitable scheme is already in place.  profitable for whom is the question. "society" is just a play for those.
