Why Does Mmp Form 3501 Require "select One Only" On Plant Possession?

I'm looking for an explanation OTHER than "the man is trying to keep us down".

 

I specified "My caregiver..." but I wonder if that prohibits me from growing a couple.

...(6) A clear designation showing whether the primary caregiver or the qualifying patient will be allowed under state

law to possess the marihuana plants for the qualifying patient’s medical use, which shall be determined based solely on the qualifying patient’s preference."

 

So I guess they are trying to limit access based on whether you are going to be able to depend on a named provider, and if you can't well you're screwed until next time around.

 

It's really hard not to get indignant about the resistance to this law.

Facility, not facilities. Right in the wording of the law. You will have to have just one grow facility.

That statement doesn't say that they want a record of amounts/types for personal use, but implies that the state has the right to limit (control) it.

In order for it to be a viable law, it has to have a restriction on permissibility, at least until it is Federally legal.

 

I just got my card. I don't want to try to grow the plants; that would be like trying to make my own aspirin.

You can make your own aspirin fairly easily by processing parts of a willow tree....so don't throw in the towel so quickly.

You can be a pt with grow rights and still appoint a c.g, the c.g can help you with getting meds while you are still getting the grow down, he/she can get you clones and teach you to grow, it realy dont matter if you possess the plants or your c.g, I would say if you are new to growing find a c.g to give the grow rights to that will come to your home and grow untill you learn for yourself, most c.g's want their pt's to learn to grow on their own, if your c.g dont want you to grow well you dont have the right c.g,  but to answer your question no you both cant grow your plants, you cant grow a few and c.g the rest, read the law, also read some of the coa and sc rulings before you do anything, the one thing you can be sure of is you can grow yourself or you can have a c.g, but you both cant grow unless you as a pt find another pt to make you their c.g than you can grow their plants,

 

I am a pt, I have a c.g, I am also a c.g and have a pt, that is not a hard sentence to read and it is totaly legal!

 

I hope this helps, my c.g grows for me, and I grow for my pt, and when ever their is a problem we have each other to rely on, if I dont have a grow going my c.g can bring me 2.5 oz's and keep 2.5 oz's at his home for me, I can get my pt mm from me after my c.g gives me some. enough said!

Thanks. That makes sense, sort of, but why would you NOT choose the option to grow your own plants? It appears you are not required to designate a caregiver either way.

 

I guess I don't understand how dispensaries work, if they are merely tolerated locally, state licensed or what? I'll sort out what works for me, but it would be nice to know what's going into my body. Seems like a dispensary that provides documentation on content would be a little more steady than the private grower, given other points made above about varying content..

 

I'm not really interested in growing, but I do want to develop testing and and record efficacy metrics, if possible.

 

Understanding/developing chemical analysis IMO would be a worthwhile investment of time/money.

 

As to variations within plants, with sufficient regulation, inspection and certification (just like pharma), consumers might be less in love with "the buds" and accept consistent if homogenous product of known cannibinoid content levels.

 

With the small grow batches currently allowed, test results will be less than consistent, and probably not worth the cost for individual growers.

 

I'm figuring this out as I go.

Ok. So then maybe your comparison between growing your own MMJ and making your own aspirin was silly. That's the point I was sarcastically trying to make. There really is no comparison between making aspirin and making MMJ meds.

 

Or are you one of these shill posters we see from time to time who introduces a "problem" when they are really introducing a solution in search of a problem? In other words, it sounds a lot like you are the next new poster to introduce a "problem" that can only be fixed by large-scale grows and requirements for lab testing.

Not at all. I just believe anti-science is bad. There is obviously a obfuscation on the forms, regarding plant posession, not to mention the listing on the other pages of all the specific felonies that imply guilt by association.

 

Not interested in the grow business really at all. I've had excellent results with CBD and want to stay focussed on that, but purified CBD is VERY expensive. google rsho cbd . No this is not my company.

 

I just want to know the chemical makeup of what I'm using in accordance with what I experience as the effects..

If you think that the medication your getting from a pharmacy is consistent your mistaken. With a large amount of drugs being manufactured outside the USA and the counterfeit market it is becoming a crapshoot. Ask a doctor or nurse how many alerts they get. The fake and or improperly manufactured medication is found AFTER patients experience the bad side effects. Some are never caught. Trust regulation of big pharma - that's a bit like having the fox guarding the hen house. When I worked in facilities we got monthly notices of bad drugs that had gotten into the pipeline.  I prefer to grow the meds for my husband myself, I know what is and isn't in them.
