Glass Repair Help!

I just broke the base to my favorite bong and am desperately searching for someone to fix it. I live by the Ann Arbor & Detroit MI areas and was wondering if anyone knows of any places that could help me? Just the base broke off, it didn't break into the actual pipe at all. I've found some places out of state but I'd like to avoid shipping it that far if possible

A possibility would be to make your own replacement base using a resin that dries clear.  You'd need a form to pour the resin into. It seems that it would be easy to locate. five minute epoxy would work in, well, about five minutes. But I hear ya man, a thick glass welded bead over the repair area would be too cool ! some festivals feature glass blowers......
