Getting Started

After reading more about MM than I think I ever did in any college course, I am still a bit confused about how to get started. In my readings at michigan.gov, I understood the process to be that I must first find a patient that will choose me as a caregiver and then I proceed to acquiring a caregiver license. Is this correct?

Any help on getting started would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jasara

or, you could become a patient first, able to grow and possess your own plants, without the need for a caregiver. That's the way most patients begin. Many patients are not willing to wait the months necessary for a garden to mature before they are able to be supplied by a caregiver. Growing first allows you to sharpen garden skills, test genetics, and have a ready to use supply when your first patient comes aboard.

good luck
