From the article

Changing marijuana's schedule, in other words, is a bit of a Catch-22. There needs to be a certain level of scientific research proving marijuana has medical value, but the federal government's restrictions make it difficult to conduct that research.

Just wondering , since there has been no research allowed for cannabis , purerly based on hearsay of it being so deadly dangerous . How does LEO get away with convicting people , purely based on hearsay ? ? ? To the best of my knowledge , hearsay is not allowed in a court of law .

Spock from Star Trek summed it up best:

It is not logical.

If any of these cases ever make it in front of a jury, I would think that a jury would be able to see through this ridiculous situation.

because the judge says its 'common knowledge' and you cant challenge old standardized information like that.

is cannabis even in any books anymore? physician references? pharmacopia?

i look at herb books and plant identification books and garden books , none of them ever list cannabis/marijuana.

here, cannabis sativa is aka "locoweed" and is listed as threat 4

Ingestion of these plants, especially in large amounts, is

expected to cause serious effects to the heart, liver, kidneys or

brain. If ingested in any amount, call the poison center

immediately.

Isn't that amazing that all of those medicinal properties were listed in this book, The Herb Book, in 1974?

Here we are 40 years later still trying to convince people that the plant has these abilities and we are still accused of pushing snake oil.

Maybe lack of cannabinoids keeps a brain from imagining new concepts.  That might explain it!  lol

I think this is referred to as E D S , endo-cannabinoid deficiency syndrome !

I don't really know how they got the no medicinal value.  There were still bottles around with cannabis extract in them.  Still catalogs around with them listed as medicine.  All people have to do is look at history to see it is, in fact, medicine. The gov't seems to have done a good job at controlling what people know of history though.
