:o

Yours is worse than mine Willy.

I did however come up with  87 RIFLE,5.56 MILLIMETER nothing purchased since 2012.

10 SHOTGUN,12 GAGE,RIOT TYPE no purchases since 2006.

Mostly what I found in my county seems w/ in working parameters and cost.

Lots of cold weather gear.

Curious why 3,500 for a treadmill though.

Of course, some of the departments receiving gear likely can't account for it now.  Business as usual.

http://fusion.net/leadership/story/americas-police-departments-lose-loads-military-issued-weapons-984250

"Fusion has learned that 184 state and local police departments have been suspended from the Pentagon's "1033 program" for missing weapons or failure to comply with other guidelines. We uncovered a pattern of missing M14 and M16 assault rifles across the country, as well as instances of missing .45-caliber pistols, shotguns and 2 cases of missing Humvee vehicles."

anyone remember the birth of the Big 4 ? July 1967 in the D,  47 years ana few wks ago...

I remember those guys like it was yesterday. One uniformed cop and three plainclothes (long black coats and little black sunglasses, looked like Gestapo), in an unmarked car.

Word was they each carried two guns, one to shoot you with and one to find on you.

I also remember getting pulled over by a STRESS unit. All plainclothes and didn't show any badges or ID.

A car load of hippies pulled up next to us brandishing pistols and yelled "pull over". We thought we were being robbed and wouldn't stop until we got blocked by a marked police car.

They threatened us with a resisting arrest charge but let us go with just being roughed up a little.

Ahhh, the good old days!

Why any county sheriff's department needs automatic assault weapons and armored vehicles is beyond comprehension.

Even when provided 'free' by the Federal government some taxpayer somewhere is on the hook.

Sort of like the MRAP's. Maybe the DOD didn't charge the sheriff for the new toys but someone has to maintain them and train the cops who use them.

Public safety starts not with an overwhelmingly armed police force but with well maintained roads and infrastructure.

It benefits no one's public safety to have the police are armed like a mech infantry unit while the underfunded roads are falling to pieces .

What is the typical citizen most at risk of anyway? Some evil doer dispatching us because of inadequately armed police protectors, or a traffic accidents that result from dodging potholes?

Osceola had full auto m16s, last I heard they were unaccounted for.

They are not even on the list. neither is Mecosta. Very suspicious.

Inquiring minds (concerned citizens) want to know!!

Those $499 5.56 rifles would certainly be semi auto patrolman carbines or target models

M16s are full auto and run a conservative $10,000 a piece

Guessing if you have unaccounted weapons you wouldn't want to be on the list.

They had to drive those Big black Buicks to haul the 1200 lbs of muscle heads around

Ive seen them drag people out of thier cars thru  the drivers window just for driving in the wrong neighborhood at the wrong time of night....sometimes while the vehicle was still moving

You could tell they loved their job...lol

I wouldn't trust a cop if he was Jesus. They will turn on us. And yes Bill I remember the gentleman Nixon and LBJ and the horrible treatment of blacks in the South. And the FEAR during the RIOTS.  Dangit,I didn't call the murderer Nixon a gentleman,it was a swear word I said. 4 of my friends came home in boxes, while the pigs beat the crap out of us for demonstrating in front of what was then the Tank Plant in Warren.
