A Few Questions

Hi. Had some questions. I had some concerns of a few web pages I've seen.

This says that the House approved edibles. I'm confused. Is edibles illegal? I've seen edibles at dispensaries. How are they selling it?

This says that the senate approved a bill that says landlords can say no to the use of medical marijuana. I found the bill online. The house doesn't look like they have done anything. Have you heard anything about this? (I live in an apartment.)

dispensaries are not legal either, I wouldn't be surprised at anything sold there.

The house approved the edibles bill.  Then it was sent to the Senate where it sat for a few months.  The Senate is expected to vote on the bill in September.  If the Senate passes the bill, it goes to the governor for signature (assuming he won't veto it).

 

You have seen edibles at a dispensary for the same reason you see a dispensary selling dried meds - because the folks who own and operate the place either don't know that it is illegal to sell meds to someone who you are not a CG and it is also illegal to have or sell medibles, OR they know both actions are illegal and they are walking a tightrope.

 

A lot of people think dispensaries are legal because they see so many.  You have to understand that they are hard to investigate and bust - just like hookers and crack houses.  The buyer and seller are unlikely to report each other, so the only way to bust is to try to find an informant and/or go undercover.  Dispensaries, crack houses, and hookers all exist because there are too many and they are too hard to take down.
