Swartz Creek, Lennon area is pretty good and pretty cheap.  The republicans don't seem to mind around here.  Montrose is pretty good too.  Lot's of places west of Flint that are cheap and safe.  Pm me if you want specifics.  There are some cheap country houses where I walk my dog near the 69, right off the Saginaw exit.(Exit 123).
