I'm sayin that when you got bigger fish to fry you are likely to let things like tis slide. The Germans were concerned about their 70% unemployment. Their starvation, etc.  So when someone came along who was charismatic and offered them a way out of the hole they supported it. Do you think the majority of the Germans were immoral? Course not but when you got nothin to eat it's easier to not care bout the next guy. What if this woman was gonna be fired after the broadcast because she publicly beat the crap outta her toddler? Would you still be on board with her swearing on broadcast tv? Point is I think many people are accepting of it because they support her political views not because they are supportive of tv swearing. I'm not too bright but I'm smart enough to separate the issues and realize that while I want cannabis legal that doesn't make it ok for her to throw a temper tantrum like a child and walk off swearing on network tv. Society needs some level of decorum maintained or we'll all just be animals. There's a reason we don't shoot our prisoners of war like ISIS does and it's because we want to maintain civility in society.

My kids aren't even in school yet. There's a time and place to teach kids certain things. Would I take a 4 year old to see a movie rated R? No, but by all means you can take your kids at whatever age you want. As a parent you control the kid's environment to an extent. That's called parenting. You have the sex talk or any other talk on your timeline. Would you put your kid into front of a porno flick? Prolly not, at least I'd hope not. And why? It isn't violent. You can draw the line on what your kid is exposed to and I can draw the line on mine. The point isn't that the classless woman said what she said it is that she said it on a controlled tv broadcast where that kind of thing isn't expected. So it's put in your kids' faces without any forewarning. If I sat my kid in front of an R rated movie then I'd expect the language and I could utilize my parental guidance and talk to them about it first.

 

The situation is made worse since this woman was held out as a professional reporter. This wasn't some thug being interviewed that slipped in an f bomb.

 

But hey you can parent your kids the way you want and I'll parent mine the way I want.

Slow down a little guys and put yourself in the other's shoes.  Now consider the discussion from there.  You all have some valid points. 

 

Bad language is not as easy as it seems.  Even in an 'all adult' setting I have asked people to tone down the language.  Why?  Because, sometimes people are offended by the words.  Should they be?  Perhaps not, but they are.  Your mother, grandmother...?

 

Also, how does it reflect on the parents if the 7 year old curses like a sailor?  Times may be changing, but most people, even today, would wonder about parents if their children were letting f-bombs fly at the Thanksgiving dinner table.

a news reporter owns a dispensary, she uses her job to announce it, so what, maybe her boss was an donkey, the job cut her pay and hours, and she was turned down for the position she wanted(?), or was ousted for using cannabis...  who knows, then she  quits here job to devote her time to serving patients, is targeted by local police, that's how I see it so far.

Does anyone believe Mark Emory, other dispensary owners, grow stores, marijuana leaf costume players, cannabis advocates, marchers, etc...  used a swear word publicly while describing the social climate in the cannabis community, or when they were quitting their chitty job, or about to be fired.....I've heard many people do just that, even ones who don't use cannabis.

 

I don't hear her discussing the removal of home grow rights, or pesticide problems in Alaska, or lab testing.
