Hemp Russet Mites

Recommended Posts

Hemp mites are soooo destructive! I didn't know what was wrong with my girls. I had great grows, then things just started to get bad, worse, and horrible looking! The symptoms were not like spider mites. Lower buds looked burned, brown, spent, then it moved up to the beautiful bud tops. These Devils attack plant tissue, leaves, trichomes, buds, they kill the plants . By eating it up. Please look into these buggers.....I lost lots of bud before I was tipped off about hemp mite. They do not die unless you get the big guns out. Avid, then Floramite, next Forbid.

Good luck.

Peace.

a lot safer than Floramite and Forbid.

spray it on, wash off the mites and their mess, trim off the affected areas. This works best in rooms that have been dialed in, which prevents the mite issue in the first place. Fans, temperature etc should be closely monitored. Cold water kills mites. A dip in a ice water garbage can will work also.  make sure to dry them off when finished.

My indoor plants are in veg. Outside flowering. Was told to use Avid outside then wait 30 days to harvest. The girls are really looking good again. It's been 7 days since Avid. I had no choice but to treat. the mites were destroying the buds sooo fast.

Outside girls will not be treated again. Inside will.

been there... awful... but for the record, Avid works on them but Floramite does not.... read the label on Floramite they specifically tell you it does not work on Russet Mites.... you should not use Avid or Floramite or Forbid in flower....

Avid seemed my only chance at salvaging a harvest outdoors this year. One pen was attacked worse than the other pen. They were all sprayed and I will wait until after 30 days, longer if weather permits. Hope I am still alive to post again in the future ????
