russ has been finding out exactly how kevin sabet gets paid in oregon. hes got a bunch of FOIA requests pending. how many state employees are helping a political campaign and are they working on your dime to do it?

and

that east lansing legalization vote is crazy. the clerk wanted to add a COMMENT on the ballot next to the legalization question. and the quote from the clerk on why she isnt following the court's order? "the judge didnt say the november ballot, just the ballot". like a 6 year old came up with that argument.

The clerk's big beef was that ballots had already been printed for Nov. and adding it would require buying all new ballots. Plus absentee ballots had already gone out and some were already completed and returned. I think he was a day late and a dollar short but he should be asked about that. I think he missed the deadlines to get it on the ballot but please ask him.
