Recommended Posts

A combined effort between the St. Clair County Drug Task Force and the Port Huron Police-St. Clair County Sheriff Major Crimes Unit has resulted in the confiscation of a large amount of marijuana with a street value of an estimated between $2.5 and $3 million, according to the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department. A lengthy investigation resulted in the obtainment of search warrants at four separate locations late Friday night. A search in the 5500 block of State Road in Fort Gratiot Township ended with 72 marijuana plants, most of them 12-15 feet high, seized by law enforcement, along with 50 pounds of processed marijuana. The plants found at the State Road location, which were growing in a greenhouse, and others found at a factory in the 500 block of Memphis Ridge Road in Riley Township led to the confiscation of another 71 marijuana plants. A dozen more marijuana plants were found in a search in the 3000 block of Elk Street in Port Huron, along with a large floor safe. Another search in the 2600 block of 18th Avenue in Port Huron ended with seizure of several pounds of processed marijuana. Also seized during the investigation were three vehicles, trailers, three ATV’s, a snowmobile, a motorcycle, a 33-foot boat and other property. A 28-year old-woman and 35-year-old man from Fort Gratiot were taken into custody, then released pending the issuance of a warrant. The investigation is ongoing, with more arrests possible, said Donnellon.

"It is the largest indoor growing operation I have seen in 25 years of law enforcement," said Sheriff Tim Donnellon. “This was a lengthy and well-orchestrated investigation between the DTF and MCU. “This was a very sophisticated operation making sales in multiple counties. It took a lot of hard work, patience and co-operation to close this operation down.”

so whats up with the drug task force activity lately?

are they trying to bump up their numbers?

'look, we got these medical marijuana patients under limit count on plants! send us more money'

interestingly the two people mentioned were not mentioned as arrested?

did the police even have a warrant or did they just bust in or do a walk and talk?

"pending warrant" sure.

There are people working on action in St. Clair County right now, and they have been digging things up and posting on Facebook. This was likely carried over from there.

It is the same handful of names in every police report out there involving medical marijuana; there is a pattern of behavior over time.

Yes Facebook the War goes on as Joinedone has posted Election time
