How To Get Law Enforcement Behind Legalization. Pay Them Off.

Recommended Posts

Oregon bounty is divvied in a brilliantly conceived way, both to dampen law enforcement opposition and generate real revenue for the state by eliminating the black market for the world’s number-one harvest.

Fifteen percent of tax revenues go to state police, 10 percent to city police, 10 percent to county law enforcement, 40 percent to education (via the state’s Common School Fund), and 25 percent to agencies dealing with mental health and substance abuse. That breakdown has the former U.S. Attorney for Oregon Kris Olsen, former Oregon state Supreme Court Justice William Riggs, Methodist Minister David Bean, Oregon Congressman Earl Blumenauer and the state’s former director of addiction and mental health services Richard Harris speaking in support of the initiative, not to mention pretty much all regional media and the New York Times."

Whoever reported on that is a uninformed. The tax policy has nothing to do with The New York Times position. They've already come out in support of legalization so pretending like the reason they got on board for this is because the cops now get a cut is bull pellets.

Another thing while I'm angry, why do the cops need more money? They already got their duties cut back by legalizing marijuana but now they need a bribe too? I have a better way to keep them in line. Vote out the scoundrels in elected positions that appoint the chiefs and vote out the county sheriffs if they can't fall in line with what the people want.

I knew you missed nothing around here :jig:

I am working to keep my eyes & ears open more and my mouth less!  Just a personal quest and not meant in any other context or directed towards anyone :)

It would be a helluva lot worse than that but the spellcheck catches most of my typos. That one gets by. It's like GM said in an earlier post, I scramble letters like crazy mad. I have no idea how my left hand gets ahead of my right and vice versa but it is constant.

I hear ya!  I have certain words that I miss type regularly.  I try to remain diligent to correct them, and fail this often lol.

It's all good! Anyone that has been around for awhile knows how to read 'typeneese' :D
