Electric Furnace Replacement Needed

one of mine crapped out last night.   Was a used unit, transferred from a mobil home.  A Coleman Revolv, 70k btu, whose motherboard fried on a surge direct from DTE.  The other Revolv unit survived, but alone can't heat the house above 51 f on this rather warm fall day.  The fried unit has other issues, so seek a used one to replace it.

PM only pls

willy, that is the ball park for new ones.

i paid $75 and $50 respectively, for two very used ones off cl this july.

true enough , but i dont like to replace seasonally, for me it was costly but now i got no worries of replacing it again.. well hope anyway... I'm too sic/weak to do it once let alone twice... I guess that is where i was coming from :)

How much you payin for electric heat tho?  Gotta be super high electric bills. Prolly a gas furnace would pay for itself in one season compared to electric.

well gas furnace  is heavy unit , used to have one , I switched, cause gas furnace was 1000. plus had to have an inspection, electric , there light, sorta, no inspection needed., my old gas.. has a tendency to leak, lol and gas prices are off the chart..hard to tell with 6k worth of lights /three ac's, and the fans , 3 600 vortex exhaust and 5 oscillating fans, one winter that gas unit was costing me 700. just for the furnace, plus electric.. and if they came around and filled the tank, it was another 500. it added up fast. I got electric,, life was good it was so cheap i couldnt understand why anyone would use gas over electric, gas also turns everything in the house yellow, making painting a necessity every year .. I dont know man, i prefer electric, I find it cheaper, cleaner, and no worries of gas leaks..  yes electric can burn, but as litle as i sleep , not as much a worry as going to sleep an not waking up :)

I was meaning natural gas.

One of them small plug in heaters burns 500watts.

Bot a splitter, which is a new operation to me, but makes so the two halves of the lamp are on opposite sides of the 12/12.  (lights always on half).  so moved furnace off the timer, onto thermostatic control only.  fans blow the heat that the lamps generate, into the upper floor.  by recycling the heat i hope to run the furnace very little, just enuf to produce make-up heat when the lamps can't  keep up--hellosubzerodaysofwinter.
