How Many Lights Can One Patient Grow With?

most of the grow books detail how many lumens (light power) you want per square inch of plants.

so it depends on how close together your plants are, etc.

if you are using MH or HPS lights, 1 400W light will be enough, although having 2 400W (or two 600W) lights is better. the more light you have, the more the plants will yield*. but since 1000W is expensive both in equipment and power usage, you might want to start low and slow.

also as a single patient, i recommend you only grow 10 plants at a time. this gives you a little wiggle room. maybe run some experiments on cloning or grow medium or strain aquisition. i mean, you start 12 ak-47 plants and then a friend offers you a sweet super lemon haze plant, but that would put you over your plant count!

best advice: never go over your limit of plants.

lights? load up on them! just dont burn your house down , check your wiring and circuit breaker can handle the load.

*by yield, i also mean cannabinoid content yield, not just weight.

Only reason I ask this question is Bc I have heard you can only have 3 lights. I then heard you can have 1 light per plant. I just want to know how many lights/wattage one patient can grow their 12 plants with? I understand the cost difference of cfl's t5's hps and all that. How many lights can a patient legally grow with?

please name these misinformed grow stores so the res of us can either educate them, or boycott them for lying to patients.

YOu are allowed to use as many lights as you can afford. there is a point of no return though. one 600- 1k light will be fine in a small tent space for all 12 plants.

don't plant all 12 at the same time, your harvest will be at risk of being over weight. plant a couple plants, then a few weeks later repeat.  soon you'll be harvesting legal weights every few weeks.

I love the sun so much I've devoted much to sun power, sun growing, greenhouse management, greenhouse food production etc.

problem is  the max dried bud we can legally store without hassle from the law is 2.5 ounces. that will not last very long at all for me,

and the sun wont come up again for near six months. riddle me the legal solution for this quandary and I'll take another look

Light deprivation greenhouse with heated ground and supplemental light(I recommend Gavita).

The rest is just logistics which you seem to have already figured out.

do you have any idea what the 6 month heating costs are in MI inside a greenhouse, typically reporting an insulative value of 4R, added to near 6 months of "supplemental lighting" ? I do, did it, great product, huge costs.

the light deprivation was the cheapest part.

If we could store more on hand an outdoor grow would be the win seasonally.

yep, six years running, no success in that. but good point. now, how do we legally store more than 2.5 ounces to last us through the half year without heat or light?

i've got the answer...let Leo take small 2.5oz batches of your meds and store them as evidence in pending cases against you,,as the charges against you get thrown out, just ask that they return your meds...easy peesy...lol..sorry but it's the only legal way i could think of..next question?..../bp..
