New To Mmj

I'm in the process of applying for and getting my MMJ card. Has anyone had issues in having their card and using legally, only to have another of their doctors raise a stink? I am always at a doctor (I have brain cancer, sciatica, PTSD, and some sort of inflammatory issue that hasn't been pinned down yet). I fear going in and disclosing that I'm using MMJ, only to have one of my docs take issue with it. Thoughts?

My doctor told me I wasn't sick enough to get a card then when they sent it too me criticized my usage of cannabis so she is no longer my primary ever since no issues I freely tell my health care people about my use of our wonderful herb.

my primary doctor said its best if he doesn't know and record the information, but rolls his eyes at cannabis hassles in medicine and law.

I've had no hassles since 2008 growing or using responsibly. I had no issues using for 25 years prior though.

follow the rules, tell nobody, keep the smells down, transport/ carry in a case in the trunk, don't medicate before driving etc

you dont have to tell your doctor, so keep it a secret.

 

its always a possibility that your doctor will drop you as a patient, or write in your chart that you use mj. which can make other drs drop you.

 

so be careful... it has happened to other people

My doctor can't recommend my cannabis use however, we have conversations about my usage and it's efficacy.

My med chart notes say "Medical Marijuana" on them.  At 1st. I was livid about this. 

We each have different experiences and I think it important to use common sense according to our own situations.

that's what scared me a bit. those "charts" are routinely shared with my insurance provider. This is unacceptable to me. How long before the insurance refuses to cover a person using a scheduled drug "illicitly" right?

I am to the point I don't care about it.  I understand the concern of others of course.

My cert doc loves that mmj is on my charts.

I use it as a litmus test.  Any doctor that has a problem with it would not be my doctor for long.  I figure that either they don't know about it's uses or is too much into playing the game to be my doctor.  Either way they don't have my best interests in mind or don't know enough to be my doc.

 

If I have to lie to my doctor there is something wrong with the relationship.

docs take jobs at a networked corporate hospital owned clinics who forbid the recommendation of medical cannabis,  and have to follow their rules to keep their job. I don't blame my primary physician for that.

If they all stood up maybe it wouldn't be a problem.  With great cash comes great responsibilities.
