The Agony Of Defeat - What Now?

I would be there Bill but back in '08 a little bit of heaven dropped right in our laps because of the voters. Brought me back to growing. That's where I belong. And I can't afford to lose everything at this age. But I'm willing, if that's in my script. You never know what's right up around the corner.

Merry Christmas

True enuff. This  probably has something to do with the OPs concerns: from The Defense Budget :

Section 538.

None of the funds made available in this Act to the Department of Justice may be used, with respect to the States of Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin, to prevent such States from implementing their own State laws that authorize the use, distribution, possession, or cultivation of medical marijuana.

This is yr to yr rite now. But it's a start...

I agree Rest  we need more deeply dedicated people like you and the MMMA fighting for all the same things to be able to grow and use cannabis for medical reasons

Thanks Bob. I let the patients that can often only scrape up $25 at the last minute for a little relief guide me in what I push for. If we all did that then we would all be fighting for the same things. I think you see it like I do and I appreciate that.

They didnt take our law away, they just want to keep it hard for any one to profit,  they cant get their sheit together on where all the tax money would be spent...if they cant figure out a way to profit more than the growers and sellers they dont want it, it wont be long and the dr.'s will be writing scripts and we will have to go to a pharmacy to get it, than the big pharms are going to grow it and add all kinds of addicting dibilitating agents in it and make all of their money to donate to their reps and senators!

I say phaq em, Im keeping my card, but it dont mean I have to follow the law!!!

so I guess I can stop being broke and go back to the old days!

Peace

Merry Christmas!

There was a line in True Detective, that sums up how I feel perfectly. "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. Be careful what you get good at." Can we all agree, if caregivers were in this for $, we'd all just start growing Sativa's, well liked cousin, Hops. Does this mean we have no fed protection; since there are no retail shops, and no regs? Edited by slipstar059

so no one thinks they'll pass this in january?

Considering the legislatures will be even MORE conservative next session, and we see their proclivity to succumb to law enforcement demands, I have a hard time believing any bills that are favorable to patients, caregivers, or dispensaries will pass next session. These republicans take marching orders from the various LEO groups- and good luck getting them on board with mmj advocacy.

Patients are still solid with the fed.

As far as dispensaries go;

“Nowhere was the original medical marijuana act ever supposed to be a for-profit business,” says Robert Stevenson, with the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police.

@slipstar I enjoy that show very much and that's a great quote that jumped right out at me like an epiphany, when Rust said it.

Does this mean these bills are scrapped if not voted in in Jan?

The bills are dead, they expired with the end of the 2014 session. They will have to be reintroduced in the 2015 session and pass the house and senate.

Thanks Nate.

I had never been interested in the legislative process until we voted in the mmma.

I still do not understand it and am working to become more versed :)

Will they be reintroduce as is or will the language be 'reworked' prior?

Yes, I should know these things but as I said ^^ I don't.
