Outdoor 2015

Hey guys first post. I'm planing an outdoor grow this year however I have a few concerns. How do you guys handle Weight with outdoor crops. Obviously those twelve gorgeous trees are producing over 2.5 ounces. I want to start an outdoor this year legally. But im worried about harvest time. Any pointers would be great. We have way to many gray areas with our laws out here.

Also do you guys know if you have to live at the residence your growing or if I had a plot of land could I grow there as long as the grow is secure.

I grew outside last year - 1] Don't grow 12 plants, then you don't have overage problems  2] Outside has a host of its own problems - mold pests and size /those huge plants are not easy to work with :yahoo-wave:

I gave my chickens my extra, including the whole plants, they loved it BTW

I wont grow outside again - was a total newby and didn't know a lot of things that I know now.

You do see that possession is an issue. You will find no help with that if you are registered. Relying on that part of the law that offers you some protection can be expensive, in both time and money. If you are not prepared to accept that risk, you will have little choice but to grow on a much smaller scale.

Good luck and welcome Nugget.

while its hanging would it count as a plant count or dried usable marijuana ?

That depends on who you ask. leo will say no, feds will say no, all I have realy heard about out door grows and people getting popped is they didnt have a roof on it or a lock or attached to the ground,

I think If I was going to do an out  door grow I would use auto flower and do them all at once, I would hang them to dry in dif places or a place that you know no one will find them, yep Im telling you how to hide them from the law, the only  way you can get away with a 12 or more plant grow out doors is to cheat and hide you crop after it is picked,,k

I would love to grow out doors enough for me and my pt to last until next yrs crop, I also beleive the law should allow us to grow out doors enough to last us for the whole yr!  If I could grow 12 plants out doors Im pretty sure I could get me and my lady/pt thru the yr, of course there are problems out doors like there are indoors, but if you can get 10 or 12 plants to grow w/o issues out doors your gonna have enough to last you the yr,

Oh it is free to dream!

Peace

If you're going to grow outside, make sure you have an enclosed, locked greenhouse with a roof/ceiling. This is pretty darn important. Putting a fence around and area and locking the door to that fence does not count as "good enough". If you're going to be doing any outdoor gardening, prepare for the slew of problems that can happen differently than that of those of which can occur within the (relative) safety of ones' indoor grow.

Bugs can be your nemesis, and if you happen to have a bee farm within four miles of you and there is another outdoor grower who happens to have a male (somewhere) that it can collect pollen from, you can still get a seeded horde. Bugs can also be your best friends, I'm of the impression that my greenhouse will have more praying mantis's...mantiss?...manti? No bother, anywho, the point stands---in it at any given time than I could ever spot around the yard, they love picking off the bugs that get caught in the greenhouse. (so do Bald face hornets up north, they had a nest somewheres nearby and would consistently invade the growhouse beginning their predatory fury upon the flying insects just trying to get out. (they're smart buggers, I've watched them catch other flyers and just chew their wings right off so they cant get away, it's fascinating really)------Getting far far off point here, but outdoor gardening is a lot of work, in some aspects its a little more work than indoor gardening, and in other aspects it is much easier (in MY opinion).

In regards to thinking you'll need to have all twelve of your girls outside,  I wouldn't think you'd need to in all honesty. One to three outdoor ladies when done and finished correctly will yield enough to supply yourself for the winter (granted they pack on some decent weight).

One big big problem I believe is going to be the growing in a residence that is not your own, though I suspect if you owned the plot of land then perhaps, but I dont know for sure so dont quote me there.

For my weight, I enjoy burning it little by little and casually inhaling. I hear it's the new fad!  :yahoo-wave:  :bong7bp:

Any incidental amount of seeds, stalks, and unusable roots shall also be allowed under state law and shall not be included in this amount.

did people just stop reading the law or something? whats going on here?

sure, that's why we all grow seeded weed and store up as much of it as we can grow, because is not counted anyways, as useable marijuana? that's pretty solid stuff there, hope no patient confusion results....

Getting plants to harvest at different times is not easy outdoors - mine all finished within three weeks of each other - from the last week of Oct into Nov.. Unless you can use blackout curtains or autoflowering your going to be harvesting late in the fall. It wont matter if you plant them at different times , the sun will flip the plants into flower at  about the same time. I grew in a greenhouse and ran two dehumidifiers in the fall. Still had some mold problems. Most of the folks who grew outside that I heard about without a greenhouse lost most of their crop to mold .

Outside is more challenging - its harder to control the environment, and the plants become too big to deal with easily - standing on a stepladder tying up branches and looking for mold or bugs is not my cup of tea Indoors is much much easier

Good luck to you

Wow guys. Pretty impressed with the amount of responses.

So there's a couple ways I'm thinking I can go about this, what I'm hoping to do is a 25x25 wooden slat garden with with a privacy fence and a roof of course. Making sure nothing is visible from any other property. The laws pretty specific about an enclosed locked facility. Even for outdoor grows.

What it isn't as specific about is the how to handle said grow. Can marijauna me stored and labeled for an optimal cure date? Not usable until then?

This is how marijuana is described legally

(3) “Marihuana” means all parts of the plant Canabis sativa L., growing or not; the seeds thereof; the resin extracted from any part of the plant; and every compound, manufacture, salt, derivative, mixture, or preparation of the plant or its seeds or resin. It does not include the mature stalks of the plant, fiber produced from the stalks, oil or cake made from the seeds of the plant, any other compound, manufacture, salt, derivative, mixture, or preparation of the mature stalks, except the resin extracted therefrom, fiber, oil or cake, or the sterilized seed of the plant which is incapable of germination.

However usable marijuana is differnt

(k) "Usable marihuana" means the dried leaves and flowers of the marihuana plant, and any mixture or preparation thereof, but does not include the seeds, stalks, and roots of the plant.

The key wording is the preparation thereof part. If it isn't dry. It isn't usable. So any preparation done before the buds are dry should be ok. I'm no lawyer but I don't see why we can't just have a nice slow cure on our buds.

Short and sweet, probably not. Mostly because as soon as that plant is cut from the hanging (drying) plant, it is "usable", that it has a date for "best consumed by.." wont matter to the LEO  :yahoo-wave:

My guess is it will be declared usable when LEO says it's usable. Then the friendly judge will decide the facts once you're in court.

yea the biggest grey area's.....leo says not legal........pt/cg says legal!  when we go to court who wins? :judge:

I havent used the word grey area in a long time, there are no grey area's, if leo comes in contact with you they will do what the want, they are allowed to, when they say we are wrong on the road or at home, who ya gonna call? Ghost busters?

I have come to the conclusion that if leo comes to your home or grow you have problems, they are not there just because the got lucky and decided to stop at your home, with a grow,  they are there to arrest you or do what ever they can to make us look bad and them look good!

I dont know how in this day and age a cop can look good to any one with all that is going on, I wouldnt be a cop for nothing these days, cops are in for a rough time untill they start to protect and serve us not them selves!

keep that cop job, I dont want it, and I think alot of cops are messed up and deserve the bad press they are getting, and im pos a few more will be killed for no reason other than to get back at them for killing inocent people!

we are in for a big change and it isnt all about mm, leo is being taken to task, and their are not even close to enough leo's as there are citizens with guns!

Im just gonna kick back and enjoy my rights, keep my protection close and enjoy the last part of my life!

Peace
