Lebanon cannabis trade thrives in shadow of Isis war – video report

http://www.theguardian.com/world/video/2014/oct/10/lebanon-cannabis-isis-war-video

This is from October of 2014 but still relevant in terms of ISIS and its impact on other matters of foreign and domestic policy.

Most interesting to me was the methods of processing shown in the video.

Never seen that show but it might not be far from the truth about 'ISIS.'

Never seen that show?

I am envious. You get to see it all for the first time. If you like that kind of humor you will hurt yourself laughing. "Frisky Dingo" - if you know what that is you should enjoy Archer.

I am fixated on the production methods the people are using. The guy at the end is sifting with a window screen it looks like. Not sure the micron of that but what is he going to do with it after?

I found it to be one of the better first-hand illustrations of how these large operations harvest and process. Turning it back to legal use of hemp and marihuana for medicine conversation, the opportunity for small commercial farming is enormous. A revival of the rural farming community via renewable hemp resources. "American bamboo". The Tree of Life will overcome all resistance in the end.

Silly me. I just bought a $300 spinpro. And to think I could have just dumped my harvest on the dirty concrete floor and beat it with a $5 shovel.

Ha ha ha that reminds me me of the poor state of quality ive dealt with over the years especially after the drug war started by Reagan drove up the price of cannabis and the quality started going to crap because Mexico started to mass ship pot to make up for the Colombians falling out of the cannabis business  in favor of cocaine .

Heh. In those Reagan years, many of my former high school friends were still doing guerrilla grows and dispensing meds as needed over the next year. But the "well-connected" dealers in Flint had little cannabis and a surplus of cocaine. So they tried to shift MJ customers to cocaine. That's what Nancy Reagan gave us. No thanks.

he put the marijuana on the dirt cement, then spread hay on top of it, then beat it with a shovel, then sifted the excess dirt off of the buds in the screen. i think thats how you add 'weight' to the buds. by throwing sand on them. which means this guy sells pot by the pound and not by the bushel. also, he must have terrible customers as his pot has got a bunch of sand in it.
