Hookah Smokers Thread

Noticed that there wasn't a hookah thread on the board so I'd toss one up! I'm not sure how many other people on the board, if any, enjoy sitting and puffing on some good old fashion shisha (tobacco) in ones' hookah, but I for one absolutely do.

 

I have a 35in Khalil Mamoon Tri-metal (oxidized) that I prefer to smoke out of with a Social Smoke hose (I find they are wide and make for an easy draw) 

 

I particularly enjoy Mint flavors, but will smoke most others! (Not a big fan of Strawberry flavors though, better for eating, not smoking) and I'm pretty darn biased towards three companies at the time: Al Fakher, Social Smoke, and Fumari- I am however branching out and trying some Tangiers that I just picked up today.

Posting an update real quick because I said I would, here's my baby, have had her since they first released the trimetal oxi line. Gets a lot of use! Don't mind the messy corner of the basement.

Yes indeedy roo it is. I view it as a fancy bong in all honesty, a sealed bong with a hose for the delivery method.

hmmm, I have a hashish, foreigners, camping, story....but you already know it of course...

I learned these nice ones have little to do with the ones we passed around the round table at the apartment in the 80's

I feel the tale escapes me currently, please feel free to dump it into the thread if you so wish! I'm sure other's will get a kick out of it as well.

 

In regards to passing it around, only the hose is passed in this case, the hookah itself remains idle...if you don't want a hole burnt in the floor of course

encountered a family of foreigners sitting around the camp fire using the first big boy hookah I'd seen. They saw me ogling the device on the way by and offered me a chair and a hose. I gladly accepted, I mostly like foreigners for their culture share. In broken English they explained the workings of the device, nothing like the tiny fake one I had years prior.  When they went to reload the bowl I stopped the hand and offered a fairly large ball of walkabout hash. Not even for a moment did I suspect they were unaware of what the shiny ball was. I even later suspected this for the reason they invited me in the first place. I imagine my campsite didn't smell like cherries, ....well, maybeeee..lol

 

They broke up the hash and lit it.  The eyes of the sampler were always on me. The connection was divine.

This was a blast and I met another great tight family from another land. I'm glad I had the ball on me.

You know, I actually wasn't in the know of that! What a killer time, I feel the most foreign influence I have is when I occasionally visit the owner of the Big Rapids hookah lounge (Cleopatras-Yeah I still go to lounges on occasion if only to see the happenins) 

 

Makes me want to get out camping more...will have to bring my hookah and a couple of hash balls while I'm at it eh? It's too bad I can't haul a live-in behind the bike or I'd be all over the place

Reckon that'd work, but then I'm not riding the bike! I'd feel a bit odd going camping so that I could take the motorcycle to new places
