Just ran across this quote from Samuel Adams and was amazed at how up to date it still is.

 

"How strangely will the Tools of a Tyrant pervert the plain Meaning of Words!"

Yes, he and the others warned us about what is currently happening.  I'm sure they are rolling in their graves!

In fairness he was around at a time when "All men are created equal..." didn't include men with high levels of melanin.

 

What we see is nothing new. The Carthaginians crafted their empire on a space of land no larger than a goat skin. They made the bargain with the indigenous after traveling from the Eastern Mediterranean to the northern shores of Africa. The native people watched in disgust as each strand of the goat skin was taken apart and laid out in an enormous circle that eventually comprised Carthage.

To my recollection , it did not include those people that aren't called men either . . . you know . . . those people . . .  you can't live with 'em , or without 'em
