Allendale/ Grand Rapids Patient Seeking Caregiver

Hi there and welcome to the site, without your hard card you're going to have (you may have) a difficult time obtaining a caregiver willing to cooperate on the spot. Furthermore, please understand that legally, a Caregiver can only (legally) help you after 21 days after re-filing your paper-work to allow him/her as your designated CG.

This isn't to discourage you, but in your particular instance, if you happen to be looking for instant gratification, you may want to visit a nearby dispensing center. I'm aware as to their grey area legalities as well, however, it is more likely that one of these places can help you in your search if you're looking to "get the hook-up" this very day.

Otherwise, I hope you have a good time on these here forums, they're chock full of info. If you find yourself looking but not feeling like posting, we also have a Classifieds section for members to post their adverts for pts/cgs/--- http://michiganmedicalmarijuana.org/classifieds/

Enjoy your time here!

There is a pretty strong argument that a bona fide CG can transfer meds to a bona fide patient as soon as the documents are signed and that growing an additional 12 plants is only safe after the 20 days. I've posted it a few times over the years. If anyone is interested, I'd look back through past posts and find the language and repost it.

I would agree with that but will add that I will not engage in it myself just to be extra cautious. I will also add that on growing the 12, if you are sending a change form and not a new or renewal application, then you should wait until you receive the HARD CARD from LARA.  The 20 day rule does not apply to a change form.

Hope you find a good caregiver soon.

Edited to add that section 8 does exist and should protect you in most of those situations but I do not trust the system to honor it.

Agreed - 20 day rule does not apply to a Change Form, and MDCH/LARA advised me as such in the past.  The 20-day rule is for a patient "application," which is not the same animal as a Change Form.
