Sanjay Gupta's Weed 3 - 4/19

What happens every 4/20 to months of backed up PT supply? A LOT of Nug-runs, hash making, and resetting weight. I enjoy dropping said excess weight by casually placing fire nearby, and inhaling vigorously.

I'm a patient and a caregiver both, but I wont pass up the day a year to celebrate as just a casual smoker as well. Cannabis is something that is just part of my life now, and Legal or not, Patient or not, I'm going to consume it anyways. In my view here, this is that one day where people aren't worrying (as much) about their illness, and they're just getting in touch with other casual people who enjoy the same, sticky green meanie as we all do in the end.

Hmm, so The Marijuana Revolution will be televised!?!

I wonder if Sanjay had this 1970 poem and song by Gil Scott-Heron on his mind when he picked the title:

"The Revolution Will Not Be Televised

I saw another promo for the non-Sanjay show, 'High Profits'.  It appears that this will be a series that premieres on 4/19 at 10pm eastern.

They had a couple of quotes in the promo.  Something like:

"Everyone is playing everyone"

"There's 2 billion dollars to be had next year. I plan to take more than my fair share."

Unfortunately this may be an interesting show, but it doesn't sound like it will promote the positives of cannabis use.  Hopefully Sanjay has some good stuff for the unenlightened.

How much longer can the government keep up with the Schedule 1 charade?

Answer: As long as 51% of the population believes them - which could be a while.

The show that followed Weed 3, "High Profits", showed that attitudes towards cannabis have a long way to go to be net positive. Old habits die hard.

CNN is owned by turner broadcasting, turner has money invested in GW Pharmacueticals, through at least 2 different investment groups.  Every time they air a Gupta special, the GW stock rises.  I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but I've seen a ton of articles on CNN, that are disparaging to Rec Cannabis, but they liberally report that cannabis should be changed to Sch. 2.. High Profits, catch phrase is America's first legal Drug Lords, and the trailer makes the owners sound like money hungry dirtbags. CNN also recently posted an article about how GW was the only safe cannabis stock to invest in.  I don't understand how Bank of America, and Wells Fargo, can invest in Cannabis, (through GW) but they won't do business with Cannabis dispensaries here in the US, it's the same plant, regardless, of where it's processed.  If it's illegal for one co. it should be illegal for all.  You can say they should be able to recoup research cost, but I'm sure there would be a ton of companies testing, if it was an open market. Cannabis, isn't the wheel, and you can't reinvent it, it has the same effects it always has.

be careful what you wish for! you just may get it, and when you get it you may not like where you got it!

why would a patient / caregiver wish to block support for a company going through the legal channels to provide medicine for sick kids? including sick kids in states where marijuana is fully illegal? or sick kids in entire countries where marijuana is illegal?

because "screw you , got mine" ?
