My Dr Gave Me An Ultamatum

Hi Everyone,

I have been a Medical Marijuana Patient for 5 years now. My Dr is aware I am a patient.

My Dr has had me on Norco and Flexiral for Pain as well as other pain meds for nerve pain. At my last appointment he told me I needed

to make a choice of having one or the other. He is refusing to give me a referral back to the pain clinic I used to go to that allows you to have everything. Seems he has a personal problem to me. I am in the Grand Rapids area. Is there any Drs who have openings who allow you to use both? I can't wait 4 months to get in to a new dr either tho.

 

I have not been able to use my Marijuana since my last drs appointment June 30th. I am only sleeping 3hrs tops. My pain has increased dramatically. My Dr could care less. I am supposed to renew my Medical Marijuana Card with Dr Dave Crocker from Michigan Holistic Health in September. My Caregiver is very good to me. I don't want to leave him hanging and leave the program. He helped me out for several months before we got our stuff in order because my last Caregiver passed from Cancer. My cg brought 24 grams the other day knowing I couldn't use and I have been resisting the urge to use my meds from him so far.

 

Back in 2001 when I worked in a factory I got hurt and had to drop at the hospital and went to Warren Products and got some stuff to take mixed in water and you have to guzzle 2 gallons of water tho. I am not able to do that kind of thing anymore. Is there anything to fool a drug test that someone can vouch for? I can't flunk my drug screen or I am really screwed. I need my pain meds.

 

My cg who is awesome he gives me a free oz each month cause I honestly have not a penny to my name every month and the gram a day alone don't cut it for the pain. Anyone got any ideas? I would like to find another Dr instead of tricking the tests. BTW how long does it take for Marijuana to leave your system in a urinalysis?

 

For cryin out loud my Dr won't let me back in the pain clinic I went to so I can get back there to continue getting nerve blocks in my low back and I have a bad left hip and really bad Diabetic nerve pain that my Dr refuses to help me treat properly.

 

Anyone know if Dr Dave Crocker takes on Pain Patients like I read Dr Bob does? Thanks for taking the time to read and

Find a doctor more in tune with cannabis and its beneficial properties its obvious your doctor is just one of the types who hates cannabis and doesn't view it as medicine.

call him and find out. sorry i dont know the answer. nor do i know of any mmj drs who do pain patients.

I called Dave Crockers office and the receptionist said he does not do pain management. She did mention about the Dr in Battle Creek. Not sure if thats Dr Bob or not. Because she did say Dr Bob Howells name and we discussed him for a minute.

 

My Dr today refused to give me a referall back to the pain clinic after I asked several times this week so I snapped kinda and called him back up and left him a nasty message and literally told him to f off and suck my D and that his azz is fired. Probably not real Lady like but darn he has no excuse for his own behavior. I almost lit up I was so upset. I also called the program manager to put in a complaint against him today. My drs office also has my Psychiatrists in the same office and when I recently tried to get cash assistance while I appeal social security I found out my Dr and Psychiatrist have been falsyfying my medical records and talking about how great I am doing and nothings wrong except cannabis abuse. During my appts I tell a completely different story to my Dr and psychiatrist.

 

My psychiatrist is the one who got on him about making me choose I think. I no longer see her either. She quit a few weeks ago to go take care of her Parents. Aside from all my chronic pains and physical ailments, I suffer from bipolar, depression, and anxiety. While being on Medical Marijuana I was able to get off my sleeping pills, reduce my depression pill by 3, my bipolar med by 3, my fybromyalgia meds reduced, my anxiety meds. All the meds I reduced I did this winter and I feel free from the 247 fog I was under while being on some of those horrible medications.

 

Now that I can't use my Medical Marijuana, I can't sleep, I'm having more anxiety and depression. I requested a new Dr at the same office today from the big wigs who I got involved  and they said they would try to get me a different Dr, but they could be just the same seeings how they are from the same office. and if they can't honor my request and the new dr give me my referal to the pain clinic that allows you to use both then I need to call Meridian my health insurance Monday and start finding Physicians with openings and call them all and see what their policys are on using both mj and pain meds. I unfortunately require both with my level of pain.

 

My Dr gots me dependant on these pain meds for years now and hes just being a diick. Theres no good excuse not to let me go back to my pain clinic that thequietone was helpful in here an he helped me get into the pain clinic way back in about 2010. I been around here that long or 09. When Greg Francisco was owner. My Moms friend told me that the Emergency rooms can give you a referal to a pain clinic but I am not sure I believe that and I have a phobia to hospitals so I don't plan on going down to one unless I knew 100. Anyone know if theres truth to that?

 

I'm sorry for anyone else who has to go through this same bs. It's not any fun. This is the first time in man oh man a very very long time I haven't been able to use my meds.

Anyone got any ideas on how to keep the cg/pt relationship going if I can't use meds for a good while until I get in a new place? It might take a bit to find a place and a waiting list to be seen. I mean he can't just keep stacking me up with jars of meds like this. Although they sure are pretty to look at.

 

Honest question here, and I am serious and truthfully I don't know if this is out of line to ask my cg but what about he keeps the plants and maybe gives me $140 a month or so until I get a mj friendly Dr? Is that out of line? Please take no offense if it is because I really am not sure. I just wan't to continue our relationship even if I can't continue meds for awhile. When I emailed him before he brought the meds and I told him I couldn't smoke for the next month I told him I couldn't use an he brought me some anyway. But a bit of money would help a long way. Our gas has been off for like 6 weeks now and its hard ya know. Especially on my elderlly Mother.

You are absolutely right Zap. I really didn't think about it like that knowing what happens with the overages. But I would never and thats an understatment but never forgive myself and feel horrible if he caught a charge because of me. I am capable of selling to my neighbor if need be. He hounds me everytime he lays eyes on me. But after making my op I am now hopeful everything will eventualy work out and I can continue my meds in the future here with the help of a good compassionate Dr. Thanks Everyone..

   If He hounds you every time he lays eyes on you i would ask him why he doesn't get his own card and become part of the States program we need more people to  support cannabis as medicine and  be a part of the movement for the sick people that use cannabis for medical reasons

Have you given any thought to quitting the pharmaceuticals? I was also on the two drugs you mentioned along with a few others. I was able to replace them completely with cannabis edibles.

 

Generally my starting dose is the equivalent to one gram of good bud. The only detrimental effect I've noticed is that I get a little lethargic.

 

The right strain can definitely replace the Flexeril and when the spasms go away you may not need the Norcos.

 

The withdrawal isn't a lot of fun but it's better than poisoning yourself with that crap for the rest of your life.
