Just found this forum today and what a great find! Everybody here seems so knowledgeable and awesome here. I've been using marijuana for the part few years to battle the constant foot and back pain I've had bit just recently started looking into the medicinal side and the science behind it. To be honest in still completely lost XD. I would like to obtain my medical card and have browsed countless websites trying to learn how to do so. Unfortunately I'm completely lost and haven't been able to find a sound answer. Pretty much my question is: Where do I start? I would like to go through a caregiver but again I have no idea how to do so. I've lived in pain most of my adult life but I've been against using pain medication due to my elder sisters having been addicted to pills and harder substances for as long as i can remember. Also they don't tend to work for me unless I take more than the recommended amount. With that I've always had the get that I'd become like them. I didn't start using marijuana until recently and found that it genuinely helps my pain. I'd just like some information so I can finally start living a less painful life. Thank you all for taking the time to read this and helping me out. ✌????????

welcome !

google search "marijuana certification center" with your city named in the search, and give them a call.

They will tell you with great accuracy exactly what it is you will need to do. Basically you visit a doctor,

he examines you, mine talked with me for a long time about my life and cannabis use, my dis-eases, and then

completed the physician requirements for the state.  Don't worry about a caregiver at this time, just get those papers in

before you meet an officer.

You can begin your search for a caregiver that is wiling to grow what you need or grow your own supply. The latter is a very satisfying

endeavor, and the right caregiver can change your life. You can place an advertisement here in the classified section searching for a caregiver and

there are some good caregiver/patient search web services available too.

Under no circumstances should you agree to exchanging any money until you have a working product in your hand. Do not try to negotiate

free supply for anything for best results. In my case I assess the total amount of cannabis needed by a patient, insist on an agreements of delivery

frequency, quantity, meeting protocol.  I ALWAYS make sure my patient receives exactly the amount of meds they want, at a cost they can afford for a long lasting

mutually beneficial relationship. I suggest avoiding a caregiver with less than a year experience, one that makes you wait for "the next harvest" and ones who use sprays in their garden. Best results will come from dirt grown cannabis supplied with EVERY resource it needs for a full complete finish.

Growing cannabis is difficult for some, but a checklist of necessary equipment for a proper indoor garden will help you gage your prospects. If you don't feel right

when interviewing a caregiver, move on the next. Dispensaries will be more than happy to service you while you search, and some compassion clubs work real hard to connect you to one.

Thank you grassmatch for your help, I'll get started on that asap. Wish i could grow at home but I'm kind of in a situation where it's not all that possible ????. That's why i was looking into going through a caregiver. There are a few dispensaries around lansing that i know of but kind of feel intimated about going in one. Is there anything i should look for when looking into one? Thanks again for all your awesome help ????. Ps thanks Trix for the welcome ????

One that doesn't copy your paperwork would be nice, but good luck with that.

Unfortunately we see dispensaries raided all the time. when law enforcement gets there the first thing they do is gather up those copies and form their database of

dispensary users, supply lines, people, address, etc.

Ask around.....somehow cops seem to know all about those extra few clones in a closet, or the unlocked door, or

those buds sold to the center. They always have some "anon" "tip" too. Lots of those "tips" can be found in a file cabinet, guarded by the stinky guy

with the shifty eyes behind the counter.  the law says you can make purchases anywhere legally http://www.legislature.mi.gov/(S(0vgdwzbj3tr1iuvvxoiv425i))/mileg.aspx?page=getObject&objectName=mcl-Initiated-Law-1-of-2008

Registering a caregiver to assist you is the very best you can do, besides growing yourself imo. The program functions very well this way with little troubles. Don't tell anyone about your card, your status in the program, and don't sell cannabis to anyone.

Smell your samples. If they smell like a wet sock, move on.

If they don't stink like skunky bliss, move on.

If you get  bad feeling, move on.  Those are some of my suggestions. I haven't visited one in awhile, and I'm sure some really good dispensaries could

be recommended by  posters here hopefully while you search for your caregiver. Get small amounts of several offerings. When you locate what works for you buy up your legal limits before its gone/changed names/raided for best results.

good luck, stay safe, and private
