thanks resto.  what i did was blast the pseedlings with $12 of spectracide.  so easy just screwed the bottle onto the end of a hose and wet everything down.  result: caterpilllars gone, remainder of seedlings saved.

Main reason is mostly the prior experience below. The minors reasons are: it is more than from 90 days to harvest; it's not a systemic; no hassle just screw the bottle on the hose; comes pre-measured, and the detroit city buses go by big box stores.

Earlier, i had an expensive prob made worse in terms of tobacco seedlings getting topped by grubs while i was growing cig tobacco plants in Wyoming.  I read make a spray from cig butts and water.  after wating 2 days for the soaking, while worms chomped, and then straining through cheese cloth and a fine screen, my sprayer clogged no end from the ciggie bits that had gotten through the strainers--and boy the stuff reeked!  so i spent on spectracide anyway and it immediately wiped out the seedling chompers.

I used this stuff once and it burned the living crap outta my plants.

I may have used it improperly? Doubt it though. It is some strong stuff.

It's been a few years and I don't recall now the details of my usage. It definitely works, thrips were gone.

I use lighter fluid, and then a torch to get rid of the fumes. works every time.

I use a small clip on green led light when sneaking around at lights off.
